We loved the location right over the river. The sheep and lambs right next door were a treat. We built a fire and cooked on the picnic table. Gloria and everyone at Nezinscot Farm were so friendly and hospitable. The Farm is a destination in and of itself: cafe, yarn store upstairs, etc.
Load up on cookies, cheeses, supplies at the Farm before you head to the site.
It was inspiring to see all they are doing there.

What a fun and farmy site! We stopped by the Nezinscot Farm Store to meet our amazing Host, Gloria, and load up on cheese, bread, and cookies (all made on site) before driving to the campsite about 10 miles away. This spot is overlooking the Androscoggin River (with trails that run along it!) and is just steps away from the barn filled with friendly sheep and lambs! We had so much fun watching the animals, hearing them speed by in the morning on their way to pasture (it's an early wake up, but definitely worth it to pop your head out and watch them go by!), cooking over the campfire, and learning about all of the incredible things going on at the farm. Definitely go to the farm store and cafe for breakfast while you're here: we feasted on homemade breads, eggs, sausages and jams.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The site was right next to a large pasture that was filled with sheep and even an alpaca. They love to talk, and some even stopped by their fenced in area to check out what I was up to. I brought my dog along and she watched from a distance. Recommend that if your fur friend doesn't have recall training that you bring a long rope. However the camp area is enclosed with walls approx. 1'-2' tall high. The site over looks the Androscoggin River along with some views of the farm lands across the river. We enjoyed the river, my pup enjoyed swimming and running in the fields! How ever my only "negative" comments I could make, and it could have been bad timing, was the camp site had some taller grass/weeds which isn't a huge deal but would be nice to have the area mowed and raked. However it is a farm, and you can't expect perfection! Other than the taller grass/weeds I don't have any complaints. The wood was provided, the views were great all around, and it was just a fun and different experience from a typical in the woods camping. I'd give this location a 4/5 star review and I'll definitely be back.

This is a beautiful campsite set on a piece of lovely farmland above the Androscoggin River. There are sweet lambs in a barn nearby, a big firepit, lots of flat space for a tent, a super clean port-a-potty, and clean (cold!) water for doing dishes and bucket baths. Plus, the Nezinscott Farm store is near-by for farm fresh groceries, breakfast, and lunch (including an impressive list of coffee drinks made with fresh milk). We'll be back!

This is a very beautiful spot, with a special view and the added bonus of friendly farm animals. It was nice to be amongst the beauty of a working farm, and close to the amazing Nezinscot store, where we looked forward to breakfast every day.
Our hosts were so friendly and incredibly warm and available.

Very unique, interesting camp setting - appeared to on the foundation of an abandoned barn or similar structure. Sleeping adjacent to the sheep was a treat, I really enjoyed the different sounds and characters among the herd. Plenty of firewood was provided, along with a couple fire pits that were somewhat communal depending on whether other campers are at the site. Beautiful walking/ biking path that extends along the river - saw an eagle, a family of deer crossing the path, as well as an abundance of monarch butterflies on a short bike ride. Not a lot of shade/ cover at the site we were located, so would certainly recommend some sort of shelter if this could be an issue. The hosts were terrific, and even brought us out some fantastic fresh baked muffins after successfully packing up in the rain. This was an unexpected gesture that was greatly appreciated, especially considering many locations were closed due to holiday. I would highly recommend this site for someone looking for a unique camping experience, with an authentic working farm vibe and super nice folks.
