We loved our time here! The cabin was cozy and relaxing, and our hosts, Bill and Irene, were generous and welcoming. It's the best of both worlds: we were close to great Acadia hikes but got to unwind in the hot tub. Thanks again!
Great cozy cabin. Very nature friendly (For example, the shower water is heated via solar with propane back up). We spoke with Irene via Hipcamp, and met with Bill at the property (Irene was out of town). Both were very welcoming and hospitable, making sure we didn't hesitate to ask for anything. Our trip went much better than expected by following Bill's recommendations of places to go, and the outside hot tub and fire pit were pure bliss after each long day. If you're looking for something inside the MDI(Mount Desert Island) and want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor in a quiet neighborhood with less traffic, and similar distance to all the tour sites, this is a great choice!
this was a great spot on the quiet side of MDI, but still really easy to get to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. loved the hot tub and solar shower! and the hosts were super sweet and attentive.
We stayed 4 days at the cozy cabin. We loved the location. With Irene’s suggestions, we experienced more of Mt Desert Island than we would have staying in bar harbor. The bed was extremely comfie and the small kinchette allowed for simple meals. We would gladly return to this beautiful escape.
Loved our cozy glamping site!!!
Irene went above & beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable during our stay at the cabin! Cozy is definitely how we would describe it — glamping at its finest in the beauty of Maine. Pack & prepare for camping and you will have no trouble enjoying this quaint site. It’s a great place to unplug, reset, and relax outside of the hustle & bustle of busier, tourist towns (like Bar Harbor) — yet close enough where you can still visit!
Book it, now!
This is the coziest of cabins!!! We were all set to camp, but I checked on Irene’s site and she had an opening for us, so we booked her tiny house and boy were we glad we did! The hot-tub is amazing, even in the rain! Her fully stocked cabin with compostable toilet and solar shower is all very clean and tidy. I was so glad not to be battling the mosquitos and flies. Best of all, we got to know Irene and learned of the love and care she and her late husband put into the property. Staying at Irene’s cozy cabin on the quiet side of Acadia ( where you really want to be!) is a no- brainer.
