It was wonderful to have a safe and quiet place to stay and Nancy is a wonderful person. It turned out that the electricity was not working well and that there was not outhouse - I figured out alternatives, but did wish that I had been told ahead of time. I would stay here again just the same.

Enjoyed the escape and was happy to find this place close to the water. There were no surprises and the description accurately prepared me for what I was getting into. If you’re looking to camp close to Acadia, I highly recommend this location.

If you’re looking for that rustic camping experience maybe not the site for you. But if you’re looking for a nice quiet private place with beautiful scenery and wildlife, and a nice place to relax in the evening after a day exploring the park this is a great site. Great location easy to access the park.

Lovely location & setup! Incredibly convenient to access everything around Acadia. The setup is very convenient with access to a hose, trash, and power at the site, as well as the firepit & table. My dog and I had a wonderful time and felt it was a great fit for the area.

Our camping experience was great! There is no portapotty at the location at this time. But there was a convenience store a mile down the road. There was power, a hose to wash off and a fire pit. It was comfortable and everyone we met was friendly. Make sure to drive down the road to see sea wall!

Great spot on a quiet road just near the Seawall. The tent platform was awesome and we loved having the peace and quiet this spot offered. Tucked away on a quiet gravel road, this is one of two spots available. There was no one at the other site while we stayed there, so we had no issues, but if someone is staying in the other site, I wouldn't really consider it 'private'. We planned ahead knowing there were no on-site bathrooms, so we had no issues there.
This spot is about a 25-35 minute drive into Bar Harbor, which we didn't mind.
For the price and experience, this is definitely a great little site. I'm already planning my next trip to the area and I'm glad to have found this spot.

Our two night‘s day was fine. However the upkeep wasn’t what we were expecting. Pictures we’re a little deceiving made it better than it was. Might be time for a little facelift. (Broken lights, flimsy plywood, not so cover privacy area) Not very much room at each site. Site was great for how close it was to the national park if you have a vehicle.

The location of the campsite was beautiful, close to town, and Seawall. Reception is hit or miss so plan accordingly. The only issue I had was that there was not a porta potty as it states in the listing. I don’t mind going to the bathroom in the great outdoors, but the second campsite was only about 20 feet away, the house is also very close as is the road so I drove into town to use the public restroom during the day. I tried to text the host to inquire about the bathroom situation but never received any text back.

Small, quiet site

Nice spot. We stayed for 2 nights, the first night we were the only campers. Campsites are small and not ideal for camper vans but our ford transit (22ft) was able to squeeze in the large parking area. Being able to plug in was huge. Campsite was quiet at night but there were very large construction vehicles that came through in the early morning. Not sure if that is temporary or not. Site feels mostly secluded but you aren’t far from the main road. We ran from our site into Acadia - about 2 miles down the road, which was nice. You are pretty far from the main attractions in the park but that may be a good thing in peak season.

Other reviews are accurate—tent site in just feet from the road. I camped last minute with my pop up and it was a tight squeeze (mostly because I’m not used to maneuvering my pop up yet….). It’s perfect for what it is. A quiet site on the quiet side of the Island. I likely wouldn’t want to stay more than a night or two simply because I like running water and a flush toilet. The port-a-potty was clean enough.

This was a very convenient spot! It was about 30 minutes from the main Bar Harbor area, but there’s some nice short hikes to get to the shore close to the campsite.
The site itself was easy to find and had everything we needed. Definitely recommended going with a group of friends and renting out both sites they offer. We lucked out and were the only ones camping, but it’s definitely close to the other site so that could come with some annoyances of other campers.
The host provided us an extension cord, so having power was awesome. The platform was nice, but does make it difficult to stake down a tent. Overall, very happy with the setup!

So lucky we found this gem! We only stayed for a few nights but the spot offered all the amenities you would need to be comfortable for a long stay. We were sad we couldn’t stay longer! Nancy provides clear communication and keeps her sites very tidy. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

This spot was perfect for a one night quick stay. It is in a great location for exploring but is still quiet and private (despite having a couple of houses nearby). There was someone camping at another platform spot next to us but it was far enough away and separated by enough trees that it didn’t bother us at all. The host provided chairs, a nice fire pit and a hose with potable water which was all much appreciated. The platform did have a spot which was a little wobbly but it was nothing we were at all concerned about. For the price point I would definitely recommend!

It was very close to Acadia and we saw a lot of great places! However the campsite was dirty, trash overflowing, portapotty was covered in soiled water after the company came by to clean it out, and the site was not kept up with after previous campers stayed. There also was not a lot of privacy but the neighbors were friendly. We had one encounter with the owners and they didnt seem like they were feeling very friendly that day. The camper from the night before brought a trashcan out that did not belong to our camp. We didnt know, but the owners seemed to be a little annoyed. Not the best, not the worst. It does have a beautiful ocean view a few minute walk from the site. However BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD. There are also coyotes but they didnt get too terribly close.

Good location, about 30 minutes from Bar Harbor and 20 minutes to the main hikes in Acadia. However, the listing is a tad misleading. First, you are essentially camping in a driveway, so cars pass by frequently. Second, there is another camp platform about 15 feet from your platform. It’s not a huge deal, but we did have someone pull in and start setting up around 11pm. Lastly, there is no service or wifi available at the site. If campgrounds are available, shoot for those.

We stayed here last year and had a great time, so we returned! Camp site has platform, fire pit, porta potty, and folding table. We fit two relatively small cars, but it was definitely a squeeze. There was also space for one of us to hammock. Great stay all around!

Convenient location, unsafe platfor
The campgrounds in Acadia were all booked so we were happy to see Nancy's site listed on hipcamp. We are traveling in a 20ft converted school bus and it was pretty tough getting it backed into the site so I would not recommend camping here if your rig needs space to make wide turns. We got set up and walked up to Charlottes Lobster Pound which you'll likely pass on your way in (delicious food!). We saw she said the beach was a 5 min walk away so we tried to catch the sunset. You can see the water from the end of her road so we walked down a couple streets that were in that direction but they were all private roads. I messaged Nacy for directions and she said to take a right out of the driveway so we went back past the site and walked to the right and... the road dead ends. By the time we figured out how to get to the beach, it was dark which was disappointing. Clearer instructions wouldve been helpful. For future reference, left out of your site, right at the end of the road, and it will be 1/4-1/2 mile down the road on your left. Signal is spotty there so I asked for the wifi password which she sent but the wifi name was not listed. She said she would check on it but I never heard back. Also, be aware that the platform is NOT very safe. It feels like you'll fall right through the middle and my boyfriend did actually fall off the end. Luckily, he's ok. I couldnt imagine if we had to sleep on there.
