If you are looking for an inexpensive, yet beautiful and quiet spot for your tent, the Midcoast Way Station is your choice. There are at least three different places for you to stay, of which one has a shed, where you can keep your gear, for example. All camping spots are secluded. I felt like I was in a forest, not in someone's backyard. At night, I could hear a lonely car passing on the nearby road every 10-15 min, but it wasn't disturbing for me. Water is available on the property, which is a big plus. Fires were not permitted when I was there, but it was mainly because of a high risk of forest fire. The host, Raija, is friendly and helpful. She will meet and greet you with a smile, show you the sites, and even recommend you some good spots in the nearby town.

Raija was a fantastic host! She communicated with us well, informing us of the rain coming in the night we arrived and even set up a tarp for us so we could set up in a dry spot. Google maps did not bring us directly to her driveway but Raija was kind enough to stand at the end of her driveway with a flashlight and we found it without much trouble.
