Pit Stop
This plot is a perfect budget stop. Damon is a great host and has a very friendly small dog that will hang out around the site. I would definitely recommend checking this spot out.

Park your own RV.
Good overnight spot
We parked at Damon’s spot for one night. It’s a short drive outside downtown Baton Rouge, you drive through some more rural roads that aren’t very well-lit if you’re arriving at night and there’s lots of debris along the side of the road on the way to Damon’s. The spot itself is a cleared area in the grass nearby the water and a home. Damon brought out an extension cord for us and had a camping toilet and garbage can set out for us when we arrived. We were right near the water, which made for a nice view. Bring bug spray and a bright light, because the mosquitoes are intense (as expected) and it’s very dark out there after sundown. I brought my dog and he had a good time sniffing around the property. There are some loose dogs that live a little ways down the road but shouldn’t be a problem if you stay on the property. Overall, I’d stay there again.
