The owners are so nice here. This is a very sweet spot. I camped down by the creek, where I could hear a gentle sound of water flowing, and I was serenaded by frogs at night. There’s a short trail to walk along the creek, through a bamboo grove with fairy lights, passing an RC boardwalk, skywalk, bridge and boulder fields. I can tell they put a lot of love and detail into their RC adventures. Looks really fun!
As long as you understand that there is no electricity, water, shower or restroom after hours and are prepared, then it’s all good. I personally prefer to bring my own overnight toilet rather than have to walk a ways in the middle of the night, so it was fine with me. There were some traffic sounds from the country road, but it quieted down a lot by nighttime.
The 2 creekside spots were level, well draining and large enough for 2 tents and cars, with a fire ring. Being way down the hill, it was quiet and dark enough, I felt a world away from the hustle bustle.

Excellent spot and Christopher and everyone there was super welcoming - private spots on or near the creek to camp but often fun stuff going on at the main area on weekends or evenings you should check out if you can - will be back soon - great for well behaved dogs off leash too

I loved the grassy field surrounded by trees beside a creek but only stayed to rest one night. More time there would be nice.

Chris was an excellent host! The site itself, however, seemed a little under kept, the hiking trail was basically impossible to go down because of the overgrowth and spiders, and the bamboo forest hadn’t had a good clean in a while as well. And just as a heads up the site is basically just in a backyard. The RC experience was awesome though, the kids really enjoyed it! Was a good spot to sleep for a night or two!

I selfishly don’t want the world to know how magical this place is! It’s work packing in your things if you travel with “all the things” like I do, but to camp in the bamboo forest, it’s worth it. If you have kids or a kid at heart you will love the RC course on site. My favorite accommodation is Mika, the bestest girl in the whole wide world, that comes to the platform in the mornings to get me up and at ‘em. Chris is a wonderful host and responds soooo fast!

Fantastic site near the creek! Very beautiful and serene, hosts were very kind. Some noise from nearby highway, but it's mostly drowned out by crickets at night. Would recommend!

Christopher's property is beautiful and unique. The creek is beautiful. He was very kind and responsive. We enjoyed his property very much. Some may be bothered because it is near a main highway

Chris was an exceptionally friendly and accommodating host! The creek was awesome to camp by on a very hot afternoon. Drive right up to your campsite and set up. There is a busy highway nearby from which you can hear cars passing, but there was also a ton of nature sounds too. Birds of all kinds, frogs, crickets, cicadas, trickling water, and rustling leaves. Nice camping spot at a great rate.

Beautiful! We loved walking through the creek. Very nice family and playful dog for my child and dogs. Safe. Also he is great with jeeps! I felt very grateful to have stayed there. Great close proximity to Helen. We had a blast tubing the river.

Wow! This place is pure magic and heaven on earth for 3 nights/4 days for me! Christopher was an amazing host and I couldn’t have asked for a better 1st time Hipcamp experience. The RC track is the coolest but Myla, the raptor, really stole my heart! Grateful for a nice reset in the bamboo forest!!

Me and my friends haven’t been camping in a very long time and decided to go very last minute. Check in was as smooth as can be and the host was very polite and nice, the lighting and the creek are awesome in the bamboo forest, we will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place to anyone

We loved camping at Christopher’s bamboo deck. The sound of the creek at night was so peaceful. The lighted path through the bamboo was helpful and beautiful. Such an incredible property. Host was very friendly and showed us to our spot at arrival. We will be back with friends.

This camp and the owners were amazing. This was our kids first trip. It was open and clean. There were a bunch of places to explore and the RC course and trucks were a blast. We loved being able to unplug. They have a beautiful great dane on property that quickly became apart of our family and entertained our black lab.

Very kid friendly. Fun off roading courses if you’ve never tried it, here’s a good place to test out your 4x4. Camp site was spacious near the creek. I wasn’t chased off by mosquitoes so I guess it’s the perfect time of year. The sites are not far from the main road so you will hear cars but we all enjoyed the space. Its well lit at night and the owner gave me batteries for my lighting setup (thank you again!)

I loved camping on Christopher’s Land. It was my first solo camping trip, wasn’t as scary as I expected and I had a great time! The property is beautiful and direct access to the road as well.

I loved the Bamboo Forest Camping spot! It was perfectly secluded around the river and there were great paths to walk. Friendly Owner who helped me set up my tent. I would definitely bring toilet paper and be prepared to go in the woods. Cute and friendly dog, and very nice spot in general. I would recommend this place a thousand times over, extremely magical.

My family and I decided to do a last minute camping trip this weekend, and the host was very kind and helpful, the spot was cleared and clean of any trash or junk. It's such a unique spot, with a nice view of the field, the creek, the offroading spots, and there was even a super friendly Great Dane that would pop in and out (and we thought that was fun). Would love to go back, and will recommend this to others!
