Mark was a great host and so welcoming. The area where we stayed in was really nice and had some shade. Parking wasn’t far from the tents and the wagon that he lets you borrow for your things was really helpful. Would definitely camp here again!!

In the Olive trees RV/Van spot
It is good if you just want the bare minimum but we did not stay the night. It was a last minute booking and I probably should have looked over the description better but the place seemed run down and haphazardly thrown together. The place has potential though to be pretty cool, but just writing this review to help someone decide so that they don’t make the mistake I did. Mark was really nice though and was responsive. But like I said it just was not what I was expecting. Hopefully this helps either another camper or Mark understand the things that need to be worked on. It’s just my opinion.

Citrus Trees Car/Van Camping Spot
Booked the site for a last minute camp trip to Sequoia. The main tent sites were already reserved so we stayed in one of the RV/Tent site. Pros: Good location - near slick rock, Three Rivers and Park Entrance. Friendly cats and other sweet animals for our kid's to enjoy. Pretty citrus and olive trees. Clean Port-A Potties, and nice sink area to clean-up. Cons: Our site wasn't super private and didn't have a picnic table or much shade (possibly due to it primarily being an RV site?). Fairly close to other campers. Grounds could use a little TLC.

Mark was a very responsive and kind host and also has a very beautiful property.
My bestie and I booked a glamping experience and we both had a great time. Neighboring guests who were in tents were also respectful during the quiet hours. So we both were very well rested coming from our trip in Sequioa National Park. Animals on the property were kind too and didn’t bother us. The glamping site was also very clean and cozy. I’d definitely do it again. Sad to have only done it overnight. Still a very affordable option and a convenience if traveling to and from both Sequioa and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Olives & Oaks Open Tent Camping
We had everything we needed! Highlights included the extremely friendly farm cat, making friends with the sheep, bats silhouetted against the sunset hunting insects, and seeing shooting stars despite a nearly full moon.
Nearby Slick Rock Recreation area is our favorite place to swim when the water level is low in the heat of late summer. It's also a very short drive to Sequoia and another favorite spot, Hospital Rock with ancient petroglyphs and beautiful waterfall.
Only downsde was a very loud industrial noise that went on and on Monday morning that woke us up at 2:30am and made it difficult to get back to sleep. Might have been a nearby citrus packing place? Even that wasn't so bad. We got up for a while and enjoyed the moonlight and a campfire.

We stayed here overnight to get an early start up to the Sequoias. It was a comfortable and private space to set up a tent. The hosts greeted us and gave us the basics on where to find everything, including the porta potties which are not too far from the camp area. My nieces enjoyed the local stray cat and the chickens. We woke up to the roosters crowing which was ok with me as we wanted to get an early start. Although it was hot during the day, it was in the '60s at night during this time frame and it was very comfortable. The town itself is very small but Porterville is not too far away to the South as well as Three Rivers to the North as you make the trek up to the National Park.

We had a great stay in the glamping tent! It is exactly as pictured. Cute and comfy, very private! We loved the serenity of the location and seeing the animals. Oliver, the sweet kitty, hung out with us while we played card games and chatted under the stars! Thanks for a great experience!

Olives & Oaks Open Tent Camping
Mark’s Olives & Oaks campground was great! We stayed for one night but it was exactly what we needed on our way to Sequoia National Park. My daughter enjoyed all the animals. The portable toilets were clean and it was nice having a sink for our dishes. I would recommend it.

We loved camping in the Olive & Oaks campground. Mark was very nice. Spotless place. Goats were very friendly, and there were no hidden fees . It is a very peaceful area to camp.

We loved the glamping tent. Even though it was very hot, we were happily surprised to have a cooling fan in the tent. We also really appreciated the access to power to charge our phones. Mark was very helpful throughout our stay and we loved seeing all the animals.

We had such a delightful stay at Marks place! The amenities and farm were beautiful and our daughter had a great time saying good morning to the sheep, getting to know the cats, and even picking a few oranges! The tent was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a power cube to charge our phones. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful - it was magical staying under the olive trees!

We got to pick some fruit and say hi to the sheep, which was amazing. The grass was so geeen and the orchard was beautiful. The neighbors were loud.

Amazing place to camp! Mark was very nice and the property is beautiful. Lots of cool citrus and olive trees, plenty of cute animals to look at. The orange cat in particular was very cute and fun to play with. The port-o-potty was clean and the sink was nice to have access to. This place is in a great location near Sequoia national park. I highly recommend this spot!

Hidden gem! Mark/Charlie (?) (site manager) were super accommodating for our last minute booking. We got fogged out of Sequoia NP and needed a place nearby to stay the night before going to the park in the morning. Despite the last minute notice, Charlie was kind enough to get us set up with wood (for a fee) and water (the tap water in the area is nitrate rich) for our stay. The site is next to a small creek which can get buggy during sunset but then is fine at night. There is a well maintained portapotty and large outdoor kitchen sink for campers to use.
10/10 stay. Would recommend it to anyone in our situation or someone looking for a unique stay.

I loved camping on Mark’s farm. It was a beautiful space and he made me feel very welcome. I felt super safe and comfortable at the campsite. Close to a bunch of beautiful lakes and Sequoia. Perfect!

Marks farm was nice. We were the only ones there for the weekend and it was perfect. Everything was well kept by the care taker, grass was cut, portable bathroom was clean, Free roam to walk around, dog friendly, Marks dog was also friendly. The farm animals making noise give you that great open country feel of being on a farm again. Nestled about 35 minutes outside of Sequoia national park, it was great seeing the redwoods for the day while coming back to outdoor serenity. Its the best spot to be in if you plan on seeing the parks or hanging out at the nearby lake for a great price!

In the Olive trees RV/Van spot
Our family of 6 + dog had a great 2 nights at Mark’s place. He gave us a tour of the farm where we met sheep, a ram, some very friendly cats, and Merlin the gregarious German Shepherd. We enjoyed walking through acres of mature olive trees and sleeping next to several fragrant, blossoming mandarin trees.
In the evening we heard only the white noise of crickets and a few howling dogs in the distance.
Mark was very friendly and we learned a good bit about Lemon Cove and the surrounding area from him.
Overall a great place for kids and dogs to run around and enjoy a nicely maintained orchard. Quiet, private, beautiful location close to Sequoia National Park but far enough out to be well away from crowds. We look forward to returning.

Lovely camping on Marks land! A beautiful farm that’s well taken care of. Extremely clean bathrooms and safe area to camp. Marks animals were all friendly and Mark is a great host that cares for his guests.

I enjoyed everything one could! Mark is a wonderful and accommodating host that I highly recommend!!! I attended an evening Outdoor Sound Bath that was amazing, especially nestled in amongst the beautiful regal olive trees…. Loved the goats!!! Was magical and I’m looking forward going back!!
