Raw land purchased at auction in 2005. Logs cut and aged for two years. Building main lodge began in 2009. Moved in Oct. 2009 with much to finish in the cabin and build out buildings for the animals. Guest cabin started in 2012 and first guests arrive in 2014.

    The Horseman's Rest Camping
    The Horsemens Rest was a quaint, down-home organic farm. We enjoyed walking over to the nearby creek and waterfall. We felt completely safe whole time especially when, Ice, the local white farm dog was with us. Sandra was a gracious host and brought us an entire organic breakfast to cook for ourselves the following morning. I would definitely stay at Sandra’s farm again!
