Walk or hike across horse pasture to the edge of 9 acres of woods contiguous with Berea College Forest. Horses and mules roam the property and ask for petting (please don't feed them). We visit there daily, and there are a few neighbors, but otherwise it is private on a windy road. Across from Goose Hill Downs Bed and Breakfast if this turns out to be too primitive for you.

We visit there daily, and there are a few neighbors, but otherwise it is private on a windy road. Across from Goose Hill Downs Bed and Breakfast if this turns out to be too primitive for you. A stream and several ponds lie tucked in the landscape, a valley at the base of Robe Mountain, a hill at the edge of the Appalachians. There are at least two flat tent-friendly areas in the woods, although extreme caution must be taken with fire, depending on conditions, if you choose your own site.
