Very nice camping trip...
Was awesome! Very quiet and beautiful place to camp canoe fish hike or just sit back and relax and take in all the scenery! The hosts are so friendly and nice and really make the experience a thumbs up!
Perfect camper spot on the river!
Loved our recent trip to the river camp. We pulled our camper down and was ready for a nice long weekend. We arrived and were greeted by both hosts and was directed on where to park. The spot for the camper was very level and and all the hookups were fairly close. We didn’t have enough sewer hose but the hosts had an extension on spot to help us out! The restrooms/showers were super clean. Water pressure was what is expected at a small campground but the water was heated! Fire pit and picnic table at our site. The kids had a nice big shelter area to play in if they chose to. The shelter had a basketball goal, ping pong table, cornhole, and lots of other little things for kids to play with. The WiFi was a lifesaver since signal was basically non existent at the site. At night it’s so nice and peaceful listening to all of the animal sounds and looking at all of the stars! The hosts were always available and willing to make your stay better than you could expect. Firewood and ice were also available to buy on site. The campground would be a perfect place for kayakers or hunters since it’s prime location for each. We would 10/10 recommend and do again! We can’t wait to return to the bigger and better river camp. The plans they have for the campground sound awesome and hope nothing but good things to such nice people. Thanks for making us feel like we were family, since my son did end up call you grandpa! :)
Great place to relax
Beautiful, natural atmosphere that was peaceful and a great place to relax. We loved the river access to wade in the water and let our dogs play. Owners were super nice and attentive.
We were one of two campers. The bathrooms (2 with toilet, sink and shower) were very clean. The wifi works in the pavilion which is an impressive structure. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They have a lot of plans for the campground. If you want a quiet place on the Cumberland river, I would recommend this place. We will be back.
Peaceful stress-free campground
Our family stayed for 10 days. Great fishing, super clean, and quiet. Fire Wood and ice for sale at the main canopy building . This building also had a seating area, ping pong, corn hole, magnetic dart toss, a basketball hoop, music, a pool table and Excellent wifi. Other campers who stayed were quiet and respectful and the sites were pretty far apart so it felt private. I loathe staying at campgrounds with sites stacked on top of one another so this place was perfect. The bathrooms and showers were super clean and the water was plenty hot. There were hiking trails nearby and waterfalls, and farms, and fresh food, a butcher with some awesome steaks cut to order, as well as convenience stores. At night we sat around the fire, looked at the stars and listened to the peepers. It was beautiful. The owners were as available as you needed. If you wanted to be left alone, they gave you space. If you wanted to chat for 2 hours they could do that too. It was great. They made us fresh bread one day, gave us a pumpkin, baked our son a cake for his birthday and gave him balloons. I could go on forever. I consider these people family. And I highly recommend staying here as we will be staying again. Thank you for making our vacation perfect.
Peaceful, river stay
Wonderful semi-private spot along the river. Super nice hosts and beautiful property. There is no cell coverage (Verizon) on the property. Wifi only through hosts in the pavilion, not at sites. Normally fine - just more difficult with remote schooling :) My family loved their experience and would love to come back.
So peaceful and beautiful, right next to the river. Love that there is full hook-up, Patrick is a great host, so helpful and went out of his way to accommodate us. The canoeing and kayaking was relaxing and so much fun. We can’t wait to go back!!
