My Old Kentucky Home had some of the best views we could have hoped for! Each spot in the camping area had a beautiful vista, whether you were in the tent, at the fire pit, or walking around. Highlights for us were the rolling hills from up on the ridge, the 1920s barn, the bullfrog pond, and the cow pasture complete with mamas and babies. The grounds were kept beautifully and Jacob and Rachel were gracious, personable, and more than accommodating hosts. The newer pole barn had space in the fridge, electricity, and also came in handy when we had to move inside due to the threat of severe thunderstorms. I would definitely recommend this site for anyone on a road trip coming through Kentucky!

Every spot has a beautiful view. After moving our tents into the pole barn because of thunderstorms, this was our view from the tent.Heading in to check on the chickens.Building a campfire was a family affair!

Jacob and Rachel were great hosts. Very friendly and welcoming. Great views from the camp site complete with a fire pit. It rained one night and since our tent wasn't fully waterproof we slept in their garage which was very spacious. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. They have chickens and a frog pond that provide wonderful sounds at night! Can't recommend this hidden treasure enough!

This place was exactly what we needed for a night away from the city! The set-up was awesome, we had everything we needed, and even had fresh eggs for breakfast! It rained but we put our tent in their huge garage (with fridge, chairs, BBQ, etc) and left the garage door open on the end that faced their little pond and barn and cows :). It felt like we were outside until the rain passed and we could go explore again. So pretty. We saw hawks, butterflies, frogs, salamanders, chickens, and cows. We also loved meeting and chatting with Jacob and Rachel, we would definitely recommend their Kentucky home!

If you want a bucolic setting with plenty of convenience, this is your spot. The site is behind a barn on a ridge with views on either side. Inside the barn, the hosts set up a fridge, coffeemaker, lanterns, and more. Upon my arrival, Jacob generously built a bonfire for my arrival, which absolutely made my night. Friendly vibes, clean and well-kept property, and roosters for a wake-up call. Five stars.

Our stay was wonderful! The hosts were gracious and hospitable. The views were spectacular. Our children loved meeting Boone and seeing the chickens. The neighboring cows came to visit also. At night we could see a far off lighting storm. Truly an amazing camping experience.

Peaceful surroundings. A friendly chickenBreakfast!Sunrise

Jake was great!

We showed up (Google Maps took us right to the house, no problems) and met. He gave us a tour of the property and was very helpful!

We wish we had more time to explore the property but we arrived late and had to leave early the next morning. It was a cool experience falling asleep to the sounds of the cows and coyotes (they were a ways off) and waking up to turkey gobbles. If you get rained out there's tons of room in the garage to stay dry, and lots of things to do (rock climbing, Xbox, speakers for music, etc.)
