Mining city is a ghost town from the 1800’s. At its hight it had close to 10,000 people. According to the 1910 census. Currently less then 12 people live here. Unfortunately nothing much left to explore but the original one lane steel bridge, the original post office a few stone foundations can still be found and the cemetery. Oh and a few old mine shafts. No one can enter them so there safe!

We offer over a mile of hiking trails on a 138 acre working farm. (Cows, dairy goats, chickens, turkeys, etc.)

We had a great time staying the night on the Green River at Lazy J Farms. The campsite was very well kept, the fire pit was great, and the small touches like the wooden swing and fly traps are also nice additions that you might not expect. James offered us some homegrown vegetables he had that were ripe and also offered us fresh eggs as well. The river was basically at flood stage so we couldn’t really access it like we would have liked, but it was pretty nice just having it in the background. All in all we had a good time for sure.
