Peaceful stay near lake cumberland
We stayed here for two nights with our daughters, ages 7 and 12 (and our dog). The site was so private with some shade and absolutely beautiful - and a wide meadow great for lacrosse, frisbee, etc. The indoor and outdoor showers (with hot water!) were clean and a welcome convenience. The 15 min walk to the lake was pretty and easy (albeit muddy) and the lake easily accessible to swim, but very little “beach” (hard and rocky) when we were there. We loved it anyway and our dog learned how to swim. About 30-50 min from Daniel Boone National Forest, where we hiked t yahoo falls (very cool). We never saw our host(s) but they were incredibly responsive by text with any questions we had. Plan a visit!
Great hidden oasis
Very cool place and the campsites are huge! Lots of room to spread and feels like a hidden oasis. There was construction near the Vineyard View location, so I would pick another spot next time, however the crew was fairly quiet. Would definitely come back!
