This is a GORGEOUS spot and I only wish I'd gotten in earlier to catch sunset. Catherine was very welcoming considering I showed up at midnight and let me use her restroom the next day as well. Would camp again!
We had a 26ft RV and thought the parking space next to it wasn’t big enough and the branches were low. We explained to Catherine the situation and she was so accommodating and let us park in the lawn and hook up our electric. The views of the Lewis & Clark bridge was absolutely beautiful! The setting sun view while we were cooking our dinner on the stone fireplace was perfect. She and her friends were so generous about everything- even picked up a few things at the store that we forgot!
Our dog accidentally went by the neighbors house, but they were very understanding and friendly about it. The street is a dead end, so no neighbors or too much going on on the street. Catherine also have us some tips on the smokies since that was where we were headed. We would love to come back to her hideaway!
First there is no address on the street so you have to guess. No one ever came out to show us where to camp and I guess the hang out area is right in the homeowners small side and back yard. The river front was tall grass and no flat area to camp down by the water. We had to camp in the front yard which was flat and used a small fire pit to cook. It was peaceful. We could not see the river from there. It’s a good price if you need a place to park and sleep I guess. Also there is no way 6 people would fit in a big enough tent in the river front area. Unless they did some landscaping. It’s has potential. I also saw a kayak but no boat dock. So not sure how you would get in and out of the river. I go roughing it camping all the time so it wasn’t that. It’s that this ad for the area is wrong and should have more pictures.
