Staying at Carl and Cathy's was like visiting family in the country. We were greeted with a wonderful basket of goodies from their garden. Fresh eggs and potatoes among them became a wonderful breakfast the next morning. We spent the night next to a babbling creek watching the night sky and fireflies and enjoying the peace and quiet of the woods next to our campfire.
Our kind hosts shared the history of the property, having been in their family for two centuries. They introduced us to their farm animals. And shared the many arrowheads they have found in the fields and riverbeds. We hiked along the stream the next day and wished we had more than one night to spend. If you truly enjoy camping, its the perfect place to stay.
