Come stay at Middle Fork Camp: two acres of grass and eleven acres of wooded hillside overlooking a valley meadow in the Daniel Boone National Forest region. Just forty minutes from the Red River Gorge and past homesite of pioneer settlers, the property features an outdoor kitchen, potable spring water, an outdoor shower, WiFi, and a 110V and RV-type electric outlet. There is a yoga deck, picnic table, and wood benches and stone ring fireplaces for your use. Help yourself to vegetables from the veggie patch in season! There are ample hiking and trail running opportunities from the site, starting right behind the (private) A-frame cabin, up and over the limestone cliffs or out the gravel road. The creek that runs by the property is a gem, and famous for its geodes and agate; an endless source of rock hunting joy for kids (and adults, too). I have established hiking/running trail loops to scenic points ranging from 1 - 15 miles in length and will be happy to provide detailed information, including GPS tracks upon request. Enjoy!

Bart was a great host! Really welcoming and inclusive of everyone there. Property was nice and had several options for places to set up tents. The outhouse is awesome and quite unique. Would recommend this place!
A great site & host to match
Bart's site was a great rest stop on our trip. It was beautiful, remote, and essentially everything we could hope for on a busy holiday weekend camping trip. The restroom and shower area were very nice. We will definitely plan to return when we're in the area. Bart was very welcoming, shared lots of information about the property, and made sure to stop by as we left in the morning.
Great site right on the mountain. Bart was super accommodating before and during our stay which we really appreciated. Plenty of room for your camping and exploring desires. Definitely worth visiting!
super private spot, zero light pollution and the only noise was a symphony of owls at dark. I was only there a brief time by design, but Bart acquainted me with the land and surroundings. Even though my stay was short I did get to see both moonrise and sunrise over the opposite ridge- that was worth the price of admission! Will be back with my family and friends to spend more time exploring the ridge, creek, and rest of the valley.
Beautiful area and campsite!
We absolutely loved staying at Bart’s property. The area is gorgeous and it’s awesome to explore the woods behind the campsite. Having the outdoor kitchen was amazing, especially because we had some rain during our stay. And the outhouse is very pleasant! Bart was welcoming and offered lots of great suggestions on the area. Highly recommend!
