We had a wonderful trip to Camp Kentucky! We hiked for hours with our puppy, then enjoyed a nice campfire in the evening. The host was extremely helpful - very friendly and welcoming - and there was firewood waiting for us when we arrived! The camping area is in a field, and the views were really beautiful. We will be back!

Had a “mans” weekend with my boys. Primitive camping old school style for the most part. Lots of beautiful land, plenty of wood to chop to start our fires. Occasional dog howling signaling from west to east as though they were communicating. Made for great story creation and tales around the camp fire. Not only would we all go back- but we all decided if we could afford it we would buy it. Oh to dream. Simply beautiful land. Cooked out on open fire (and some meals on our propane stove) and all stayed in 1 tent for storytelling, burping and snoring competitions. What else do you want with your boys? Oh, we hiked, shot sling shots, blowguns - cool , fun man stuff. We’ll be back. Loved it.

We had a very nice stay. Leslie was helpful giving us very clear directions and options for good places to set up camp. The land looked beautiful and I wish we had more time to explore. We did discover that to drive up to the site it would have been very helpful to have a vehicle that did better going off road than our minivan. We made it, but just barely and almost got stuck on the way out because of the rain. We also should have brought an ax or chainsaw to make cutting firewood easier, but we forgot. Other than those two things the site was very private and we enjoyed seeing the stars at night!
