We love away at green hill!
We absolutely loved camping at Green Hill. Teri and Mike are great hosts and their property is something special. We have stayed with them before and would again in a heartbeat. We have seen all of the campsites and any one of them is well worth the trip. Basic set up but very private, and plenty of area to explore.
Peacefully private wooded retreat!
Wow, what an incredible place! Away at Green Hill is such a wonderfully safe and private property. Teri and Mike were great hosts. The property was so fun to explore, and they even have a really cool log cabin we found while hiking around. We went on a few nice short hikes then relaxed for the night by a campfire with great friends and food! We'll be back for sure!
Great private car camping
Felt like a getaway even though it is so close to town. It's nice to car camp in a private setting, seems like this kind of camping is getting harder to find. Terri and Mike were friendly. There are trails in the woods and I hiked out one of the ridge trails and saw an amazing oak tree, could be a 100 years old. I look forward to going back.
The perfect getaway
You will not find a more enjoyable private camping experience than Mike and Teri’s property. This spot is a perfect getaway from the rush of my everyday life. If I could live here in my tent, I would! The land is well-taken of, full of unexpected details, and perfect for a weekend or a stop along your cross-country trip.
What a great wide open but secluded space. Plenty of room for activities here at green hill. Teri was so helpful with directions and recommendations. I was greeted at my arrival after 8pm. I’d stay again if I’m in the area. Thanks!
Great hideaway from the cincinnati
Great hideaway from the Cincinnati area. Well kept land, beautiful views, plenty of trees, and places to explore on the property.
Kid friendly, cell service, and quiet (some ambient airplane noises from afar).
We will be back again. Host communicated great!
Private site w/ thoughtful touches
We stayed at site #2 on Teri's land and had a great weekend in the woods. The site was private and was very clean, and best of all, Teri & her husband have outfitted their places with all sorts of thoughtful touches. The outhouse was darling and very well-maintained and the camper "starter kit" at our site was full of useful accessories and tools. I'd highly recommend this site and because it's a short drive from the city, we plan to be back many times!
This site was fantastic! It was our first experience with Hipcamp and I think we picked a great site for it. The camping area rests on top of one of the larger hills allowing you to wake up in the morning to gorgeous views of the surrounding hills and valleys. We arrived in later fall but the colors where still gorgeous. The space is HUGE, we were in the site 1 and 2 area but were the only ones there, the space could easily fit 4 or 5 sites. There was a large fire pit, two picnic tables, a large hammock, and even a trampoline (we didn't try it out though). Plus a really cool rustic cabin built in the 1800's we were able to explore. It was beautifully furnished with big log rocking chairs and dining areas with large tables. It was a great spot to hang out and sip our coffee in the morning.
It was great having access to the pit toilet which was the nicest pit toilet I had ever used. Super clean and adorably decorated which was a theme throughout the property. There were candles, magazines, and clear labels on how to properly use and dispose of things inside. Zero smell as well (though it was November so that could have helped too).
When we arrived Teri told us about a couple of the hiking trails and left us a detailed map of them with the fire starting kit. The trails were really pretty! The Great Googly Moogly Trail was our favorite, it had some pretty steep inclines and declines so wear proper sneakers or hiking boots but was very well marked so no worries about getting lost. It gave more views of the area so if you come we highly recommend you give it a try!
Overall great site, we are already planning on coming back and perhaps bringing a couple friends next time to show them!
This location is fabulous for campers coming from Cincinnati/ Louisville. It is very easy to access and the grounds are so beautiful. We had a chance to look at all 3 campsites and they are all private and spaced well enough apart from one another to provide a fabulous camping experience. The port-a-potty was so clean and adorable, it even had a little chandelier. We absolutely loved getting to know Teri and will be back next year!
