Vinedo del Alamo Vineyard is a small winery located in the countryside of Kansas. This property is home to many farm animals including; dogs, sheep, chickens & a donkey. There's plenty of space to set up camp and have a sense of privacy. We also received a vineyard tour during our stay. However when we arrived to the site, the host was 2 hours late meeting us at the property. While waiting we found another review online where a customer expressed similar frustrations. Hopefully this is an exception and does not happen with future guests.

Drinking some coffee before getting to workThe chickens and sheep stay in the vineyard separate from the campsite. Donkeys keep the deer away from the vines.Egg on toast with avocado!

This was a lovely spot not far off the trail of our travels. The hosts, Denise and Bob, were warm and friendly and very hospitable. We parked our 23’ airstream easily and used the electric hookup. Quiet and peaceful location.

We found this place by chance. We were looking for a place with full hook ups within a couple hours of Kansas City. The grounds were super clean and very private. We were able to let our dog run around without a leash, purchase and drink some really good wine, pet and feed Ignacio (the donkey), and our kids explored the property from sun up to sun down. The hosts were both so kind and a delight. I wish we had more time to just sit around with them, share a bottle of wine, and talk. We are looking fiotward to our next trip back! Don’t second guess it.. if you want an amazing getaway close to KCMO, this is the place!

Great alternative to the usual Memorial Day crowded campgrounds!! Amazing hosts who are dedicated to their vineyards and wine production-though Bobby didn’t have any bottled for us to sample. Next time!!

The vinard was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. Denise was there when we arrived and greeted us warmly. She directed us to our site which viewed the vinard and Nacho Libre ( the mule). We had electric, water and sewer hook ups which made our stay super comfortable. We used the supplied fire pit, charcoal grill and patio furniture. It was like staying with an old friend. She gave us information on the wine they make and points of interest for Fort Scott. We will camp there again, or at least stop by to buy wine and/or pet Nacho Libre.

Site was very easy to access, hosts were very nice and.helpful, Nacho, the donkey was delightful. Our only, minor, disappointment was the lack of privacy. That said, we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night at Vinedo del Alamo Vineyard. It was good test run on our RV before a big vacation and we got to meet Ignacio! The hosts were very friendly and the vines are pretty to walk through.
