There is a lake not far from us, about 15 minutes drive, if real swimming and fishing is of interest. The camping sites are unimproved and can be a wild or tame as you choose. We kindly ask that all outdoor campers, backpackers and “Yurt-ers” bring their own water and camping supplies. Please only start fires in designated fire pits and not at all during drought periods or burn bans. All fires must be COMPLETELY extinguished upon leaving the site. A shovel will be provided and we ask that any waste you leave in the woods be well buried, including toilet paper. Insects spray is advised during tick and chigger season.

Robin was super kind enough to let us sleep in the barn the night we stayed since it had poured recently (obviously not the best conditions to camp in)! We did get to explore around the property a bit and you could probably spend hours wandering the woods of Kansas there. The Light Center is a beautiful place with wonderful souls!
