Robin was super kind enough to let us sleep in the barn the night we stayed since it had poured recently (obviously not the best conditions to camp in)! We did get to explore around the property a bit and you could probably spend hours wandering the woods of Kansas there. The Light Center is a beautiful place with wonderful souls!
This place was just what we needed - a little haven on our journey, filled with delightful people, cozy spaces, and an unexpected array of things to see. The grounds are beautiful, even in the muddy season when things are just preparing to bloom, and there's so much to see! Our stay was brief, so we didn't get to take any of the recommended hikes, but we hope to return to explore the area more. Our host was kind and hospitable, and the other folks living nearby were very friendly and eager to greet us and exchange stories. Because of the rain we camped close to the house but had a great experience and look forward to scoping out a more rustic campsite here in the future!
The light center is an awesome spot. The land was so beautiful and the lovely couple was so laid back with everything. They even let us check out later than the posted time! Very sweet, and would definitely spend some more time there.
Robin, was so sweet. The barn is Beautiful and we loved everything about are camp. We went back into the woods for a primitive camping trip and we got it. But we was not to for to hike in and out to the barn and water and restroom. I loved everything thing about our trip to the Light Centet

Robin was extremely nice and welcoming. If it's rained lately, be sure to pack some dry wood and kindling. They are pretty remote so you likely won't find a place on the way to get any. She provides some on site but I hated how much we had to use of her stash to get a fire going, I wish I would've brought some of my own. My apologies, Robin.
We loved staying here and want to come back! It was peaceful, beautiful, and secluded. They were so nice and helpful. I’m very glad he warned us that the coyotes are loud because I would’ve been so scared otherwise. 😂 There’s fresh water available in a pump and a wagon to take your gear to the site. We brought our dog and had a great time! We brought some wood but there was plenty around too.

We had a wonderful time. Robin and her husband we so kind and down to earth. I can NOT wait to come back when the rest of the camp is open (common gathering areas were closed due to covid-19)
Very kid and pet friendly.

Our stay at the light house was nothing more than amazing! The owners were very helpful and very friendly! Amazing camping sight and very clean! We definitely be back! Did I mention the place is beautiful it is a must see! Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!

No worries Dani, with such a lot of woods there is always more firewood around! I enjoyed having you all here. Come again!!
