Hipcamp’s Latest Brand Video Celebrates The Joys of Adventure Prep


Today, we’re excited to share our latest brand video, “The Prologue,” which captures the very specific experience of getting ready for an outdoor adventure. Serving as the precursor to our 2015 video and crafted in a complementary style with the folks at Avocados & Coconuts, this film chronicles the lives of everyday explorers as they snap, zip, clank, and ponder their way to the great outdoors. Turns out, to find yourself outside, you have to get yourself there first.


“The beauty of being outside is deeply inherent to the experience: it’s the sights, the smells, the sounds, and the memories. There’s no need to mess with it,” said Hipcamp Head of Design, Julian Bialowas. “The same is true for getting there. We wanted to focus on the very human, and very beautiful, movements we make as the process begins.”

Heading into one of the biggest travel holidays of the year, we hope you’ll take a moment to savor the journey as much as the destination. Plan that route, find that campground, call that friend, and go. When you get there, don’t forget to leave it better.
