Hipcamp’s First-Ever Host Summit

It’s been an especially exciting time for Hipcamp. In the last few weeks, we’ve celebrated a few special milestones, including the launch of our first-ever mobile app and our inaugural Host Summit where more than 100 Hipcamp Hosts, employees, and partners from across the country gathered for an unforgettable weekend of connection, community, and learning.

Set against the backdrop of bucolic, rolling hills on Whiskey Ranch in Livermore, California, the Hipcamp Host Summit opened with remarks from members of the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe to acknowledge the historical significance of the land on which we were gathered. This spirit of connection continued throughout the weekend in the form of Host-led workshops, dedicated Hipcamp staff tutorials and Q&As, keynote presentations from influential conservationists, ecologists, and storytellers, and ongoing conversations over fresh food, yoga, nature walks, and live music by the campfire.

See how it all went down:

If you weren’t able to attend the Host Summit in person this year, you can still enjoy some of the key learnings shared during our workshops, which we’ve compiled into the following Journal posts:

A special thank you to the Hosts who attended and collaborated with us, speakers who shared their inspiring work, and corporate partners who helped make this event possible.
