Dead&Co × Hipcamp: 2023 Road Trip Guide

Dead & Company has partnered with Hipcamp to pair music and camping for a nature-filled summer tour.

It felt like a natural fit to share Hipcamp—an app that makes it simple to discover and book unique camping experiences—with Deadheads road-tripping with the band around the US this summer.

With a collection of options from private tent camping sites to glamping spots and one-of-a-kind RV spots, Hipcamp is here to help roadtripping Deadheads find places to camp along the tour route, all while supporting local habitats and landowners.

So for each leg of the Dead&Co tour route, we’ve created maps that highlight the very best state parks, campsites, and public land treasures along the way—including a selection of Grateful Dead-themed Hipcamp lands where you can stay the night before heading off on the road again.

With Dead&Co’s work to offset their tours’ environmental impact and Hipcamp’s commitment to protecting our natural places, our values align in a special way, and our shared aim is to get everyone along the tour having a great time in nature before and after each show. Folks who join the Hipcamp community will also get $10 off their first stay, which can be used at any Hipcamp on tour.

Take some time to explore the maps below, and you might just discover your new favorite spot. Just remember, these routes are only suggestions, so feel free to go your own way. And always check on road closures and traffic conditions—we don’t want you missing the show! Now let’s get out there.

🔍 You just gotta poke around. Click into the map, then zoom in to explore all tour stops, Hipcamps (orange dots), public parks to visit (green dots), and more outdoor recommendations along the tour route.
