The Hipcamp Campout

Hipcamp is all about getting great people outdoors. Luckily, we are surrounded by freaking amazing people every day. However for the most part, we are communicating, working, and hanging out with these people within the boundaries of the city. Now, we love the hell out of San Francisco, but thought, “man, wouldn’t it be rad to get all these great people outdoors in the forest with some rock & roll?” So, we birthed the idea which we dubbed “The Hipcamp Campout.” This past weekend the idea came to fruition and with the help of the Stewards of the Coast & Redwoods (who run the park) we held the event just north of the city at Austin Creek State Recreation Area. The event was….well, it was hard to put into words, but “magical” comes pretty darn close!

With this being said, we want to give a fist pump, chest bump, and awkwardly long embrace to all the amazing people who attended, and made the event possible. Thank you for keeping the outdoor and creative industries here in the bay. You know who you are, but we want everyone else to know as well:

Alite Designs (for the hangover via the whiskey speakeasy and the awesome gear), Lagunitas (for the 600 beers & “stump keg” donation!), A Million Billion Dying Suns (for psychedelic rock and mini mosh pit in the redwoods), DonCat (for the rad campfire singalong) Different Fur Studios & COLLIDE (for Pat the sound wizard and Jeff Wolfe the man that made a lot of this possible), Shelter-co (for the Meriwhether tent chill-out area), Four Barrel Coffee (for the delicious coffee and for Nicky the nicest/friendliest dude ever.), RANGE (for creating an awesome publication and bringing copies!), San Franola Granola (for keeping us crunchy), Joanna Karem from American Wine & Spirits (for all the insanely delicious wine), Dave MorinPoler StuffBAWT (for all the tents, bags, and pads), the whole setup and takedown crew (Natalie Schoeppler, Sterling Montes, Richard Littauer, Alex Johnson, Darcy Lloyd, and Eoin McMillan), and of course David Wajsfelner of D2xU Photography, and Molly DeCoudreaux Photography for all the beautiful photos below!

We would most definitely not be where we are without your love, support, and high fives along the way. We look forward to creating more awesomeness in the world together.

*Before you check out any pics, you should probably follow the official “Hipcamp Campout” Spotify playlist. Press play and relive the rock in the redwoods (yes it’s 7 hours long):
