Hipcamp’s 2019 Top Trending U.S. Glamping Destinations

As the leaves, colors, and seasons continue to change, people are getting more excited about gear-free, weather-proof ways to get outside. Glamping (aka glamorous camping) is a great way to experience nature all year long. Recently, it’s been confirmed as a bonafide, growing trend: a new, independent study found that 30% of all leisure travelers have glamped in the last two years, driven by a younger, more diverse group of people — 60% of whom are millennials or younger.

Hipcamp data supports this trend: glamping accounts for 1 in 3 bookings on Hipcamp. To commemorate, we’ve pulled the top trending destinations on Hipcamp where people like to experience nature in cabins, yurts, treehouses, and lean-tos (and all manner of glamping structures) across the country over the last year, as well as some great examples for each destination.
