10 Romantic Shepherd’s Huts with Hot Tubs in the UK

Hunting for a shepherd’s hut with a hot tub? We take a look at some of the most romantic hot tub retreats in the UK with this collection of shepherd’s huts that offer that little bit extra…

While the nights are still long and the temperatures low, we’ve been thinking of places to hunker ourselves away and enjoy a cosy break in the Great British countryside. We found ourselves hard pressed to think of anywhere better than a shepherd’s hut to do that. But, after a lot of head scratching, we managed it: a shepherd’s hut with a streaming hot tub outside. These are places where you can not only hide away like a pair of shepherds but also live like a kings and kick back in a simmering hot tub whilst enjoying the stars. Whether it’s a wood-fired hot tub that you can light yourself and enjoy that rustic Nordic feel, or a full-blown Jacuzzi with jets, bubbles and more, there are plenty of shepherd huts with hot tubs out there. Here are just a few of our favourites…

Deer are the nearest neighbours at this secluded Somerset site next to a 100-acre wood. There are just two shepherds huts in winter, each with its own wood-fired tub.

Four Little Trees Pembrokeshire

Set within a wildlife-rich smallholding which is managed for conversation, this stylish shepherd’s hut has a wood-burning stove inside and a wood-burning hot tub outside.

The Drover’s Hut Devon

Between Exmoor National Park and the beaches of Coombe Martin, Watermouth and Illfracombe, this hidden hut is one of two at Westland Farm. Both have exquisite views from their hot tubs.

Bentley’s Frenchmoor Hampshire

This exclusive, all mod-cons shepherd’s hut has a curved stargazing window above your bed and a wood-fired pizza oven as well as a Scandi-style wood-fired hot tub outside.

The Nut Plat Retreat Kent

Soak in a hot tub and sleep in an authentic antique living van in the pleasing surrounds of an ancient cobnut orchard on the banks of the River Bourne at this glamping site in Kent.

Copy House Hideaway Lancashire

The ultimate weather-proof hot tub experience is provided at this site in Easby as the wood-fired hot tubs are undercover in a little log cabin next to your shepherd’s hut.

Fern Hill Cabin Dorset

This super smart shepherd’s hut with a hot tub sits in its own little paddock with great views of the Dorset countryside and is just a half hour drive from Lymes Regis.

Little Otchan Shepherd’s Hut Yorkshire

Enjoy the ultimate in waterside privacy at this East Yorkshire hut which overlooks a pond, just two miles from sandy beaches of the Yorkshire coast.

The Exmoor Woodland Escape Somerset

In a clearing on a wooded estate is where you’ll find the super-comfy shepherd’s huts of The Exmoor Woodland Escape – complete with Swedish hot tubs and jaw-dropping views.

Dreamhuts Retreat Devon

Glamping with a hot tub not enough? No sweat – well maybe just a little – as the two luxurious shepherd’s huts at Dreamhuts Retreat also share a Scandi barrel sauna.
