Pitch your tent anywhere in the 170 acres.  We also have organized campsites that you can use. Hiking, biking, horse camping, fishing, wildlife observing and viewing beautiful vistas  are just a few of the options you can enjoy while staying at Horse Creek Adventures.

Horse Creek is set up to get away from it all but we realize some tentors want to be able to enjoy the sites in the surrounding area away from the ranch. When you book we will be asking how you want to camp. Those who want to come and stay on the property, can pitch their tent anywhere on the land.  For those who want to do some site seeing, we will put you closer to the entrance but you can still enjoy all of the  170 acres.

Special Notes:

Horse Back Riders: We are pleased to announce that we now offer a special opportunity for children to take a short ride in our arena or a two hour guided trail ride beginning with an introduction to trail riding. Contact us for more details.

Dog owners:  We are pet friendly at Horse Creek Adventures but it does require that dog owners work with us.  At any given time there are horses and dogs sharing the same space.  Tell us up front that you are bringing a dog and tell us about its size and breed.  Our rule of thumb is small dogs are welcome. Large dogs are on a case by case basis. This is especially important for dogs that are trained to protect their owners.  When dogs are here they must be kept on a leash.

Less than an hour from Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska.  St. Joseph and Kansas City, Missouri are about an hour and half.  Close attractions include- Lewis & Clark Center, Sidney Rodeo in early August, Underground railroad, Arbor Lodge...just to name a few.

Didn’t know what to expect going into this one, but I had my expectations blown away by the cheerful hospitality and great land! Horse Creek Camp is on some beautiful land with oak savanna, prairie, and rolling his. Lora, the other host provided us with a map and oriented us to the property, which includes trails, a fishing pond, and beautiful vistas to name a few. There was a fire pit, firewood, picnic table, potable water, and the cleanest port-a-potty I’ve seen in all my life provided. I’ll definitely be back for a longer stay and would recommend you do the same. This is a hidden gem.

This a bit more rustic than a big rv park, but we enjoyed it! The camp hosts were great, and Jack even helped us get everything ready to leave and gave some good hints (it was our first time with a travel trailer). We would definitely go here again if in the area.

We had a great time at this camp ground! It was very primitive and exactly what we were looking for- far from the hustle and bustle of town/people/pollution. We brought a kayak and a paddle board and the little lake was perfect to hang out in. We also brought our dogs and they totally had a blast. Very fun time and would go again for sure.

The site was great and communication with jack and Lona was very good. They were responsive and kind. We requested a site that we could drive our car to and they were able to accommodate us easily! Would recommend.
