Horse Creek is set up to get away from it all. But we realize some guests want to be able to enjoy the surrounding area, away from the ranch. When you book your stay, we will be asking how you want to camp. Those who want to stay on the property, can pitch their tent anywhere on the land. For those who want to do some sight seeing, we will put you closer to the entrance but you can still enjoy all of the 170 acres.
Special Notes:
Fishing: This is a special opportunity to camp by a premier fishing hole. We only allow one party per night at 35.00 dollars per tent.
Horse owners : You can rent one or more of our tent sites, keeping your horse with you in a nearby corral .
Horse Rentals: For children, a short ride accompanied by our wranglers in our arena or for adults, a two hour guided trail ride beginning with an introduction to trail riding. Contact us for more details
Dog owners: We are pet friendly at Horse Creek Adventures but it does require that dog owners work with us. At any given time there are horses and dogs sharing the same space. Tell us up front that you are bringing a dog and tell us about its size and breed. Our rule of thumb is small dogs are welcome. Large dogs are on a case by case basis. This is especially important for dogs that are trained to protect their owners. When dogs are here they must be kept on a leash, "no exceptions"
Less than an hour from Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska. St. Joseph and Kansas City, Missouri are about an hour and half. Close attractions include- Lewis & Clark Center, Sidney Rodeo in early August, Underground railroad, Arbor Lodge...just to name a few.

Beautiful place for some R & R. The owner Lona is a exceptional lady and Dj this is a good old boy they go above and beyond your expectations. Ok now if you love to fish this is lake is a fisherman’s dream YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED I PROMISE YOU THAT. This is a five star gem for outdoor lovers enjoying life. Thank you Lona for opening this beautiful property to people to in joy until next time ✌️
Didn’t know what to expect going into this one, but I had my expectations blown away by the cheerful hospitality and great land! Horse Creek Camp is on some beautiful land with oak savanna, prairie, and rolling his. Lora, the other host provided us with a map and oriented us to the property, which includes trails, a fishing pond, and beautiful vistas to name a few. There was a fire pit, firewood, picnic table, potable water, and the cleanest port-a-potty I’ve seen in all my life provided. I’ll definitely be back for a longer stay and would recommend you do the same. This is a hidden gem.
This a bit more rustic than a big rv park, but we enjoyed it! The camp hosts were great, and Jack even helped us get everything ready to leave and gave some good hints (it was our first time with a travel trailer). We would definitely go here again if in the area.
We had a great time at this camp ground! It was very primitive and exactly what we were looking for- far from the hustle and bustle of town/people/pollution. We brought a kayak and a paddle board and the little lake was perfect to hang out in. We also brought our dogs and they totally had a blast. Very fun time and would go again for sure.

We had a great time here! Lona was incredible to deal with and very accommodating. The overall vibe of the entire place was amazing. We’d highly recommend it. We will be back.
Thank you!
This place is great! My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary and first time camping together here and we could not have been happier with our weekend stay. Our hosts were absolutely incredible, kind, and Hospitable! Thank you again! We can’t wait to return.
