A campsite and full use of the horse accommodations is $25 nightly plus $10 for each horse. We also accommodate horse owners traveling and needing a stop for one night.
Horse Back Riders: We are pleased to announce that we now offer a special opportunity for children to take a short ride in our arena or a two hour guided trail ride beginning with an introduction to trail riding. Contact us for more details.
Dog owners: We are pet friendly at Horse Creek Adventures but it does require that dog owners work with us. At any given time there are horses and dogs sharing the same space. Tell us up front that you are bringing a dog and tell us about its size and breed. Our rule of thumb is small dogs are welcome. Large dogs are on a case by case basis. This is especially important for dogs that are trained to protect their owners. When dogs are here they must be kept on a leash.
We are located an hour from Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska,. St Joseph and Kansas City , Missouri are about an hour and half away. Area attractions include Underground railroad, Arbor Lodge, Lewis and Clark Center. Iowa's Championship Rodeo in Sidney Rodeo in August is only five minutes away.

Beautiful valley! easy overnight or
Very nice pasture in a beautiful valley. Each spot has power, picnic table, and a fire ring. Nice clean port a potty and access to water to fill up. Sites are a little close, but the two nights we stayed there was only one other family who came late and left early. It was a short drive to the zoo and downtown Omaha. Whether you are stopping for a overnight or have reason to be in the area this is a great option for anyone. Lona is a great host. She communicates exceptionally well and really went above and beyond to make our visit as comfortable as possible. Truly appreciated everything she did!
Exceptional hosts, quiet location
The host, Lona, was extremely cordial and accommodating during our visit. Their property is off the beaten path and quiet yet not too far from the highway to be a deterrent as an overnight stay option. There was power and a porta potty and plenty of room for big rigs. All sites were pull through. They were all a bit sloped from back to front but was manageable to level our trailer. Great spot!
Quiet, remote, and so much fun!
This place was amazing. Right from the start you could see rolling plains and the smell of country side was abundant! We hiked the trail and really got a taste of the Iowa country side! The host Lona was more than helpful, she even let us get a half gallon of milk from her! I also spoke with Jack who is a military veteran like me and I feel we were in trusted hands staying at the location. This site was ideal for our chocolate lab to run free! Beautiful pond as well! We had so much fun the only thing I would improve is the length of our stay. We should have stayed Longer!
Nice hidden gem.
Very quiet and nice spot to spend a couple nights while I rode the many scenic roads In the area on my adventure motorcycle. Lots of opportunities to hike on this beautiful property. Not much else to do here unless you bring a horse but still a great place to stay overnight or spend a few days relaxing. Owners are very nice, responsive, and accommodating.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at horse creek adventures. Our host, the land and or site were all perfect. We enjoyed walking the trails and resting on this beautiful, quiet property. We will be back for sure.
No horse horse camp
Quite off the beaten path place. Not a horse in sight. Hookups, minimal water, and port a little much appreciated as was the in-person welcome. Would stay again
The campsite was very peaceful. We were told we would be greeted by Jack. We never saw Jack. Lona came later. She was very nice. We were suppose to be able to pay to ride horses. We never saw a single horse. Our sight was not level. Our camper was like walking in a crazy house at a carnival. Walking uphill and rolling out of bed. We had to drive on gravel roads to get there. I would not recommend this campground which was not really a campground.
