In the country on a beautiful disc golf course. There is access to water and electricity in the shop but not at sites. There is a lot of different wildlife to enjoy, the nickel plate bike trail is about 4 miles away & the Rochester community pool is 10 minutes. You can fish in the pond or take a canoe ride by the beaver hut. The sites are not marked, you can basically camp

Campfires 🔥 are welcome.

Peaceful camping experience.
Lisa and her husband were great hosts! The property was peaceful and beautiful. We set up our tent back in the woods on a hill overlooking a pond. Finding a site can be a little tricky because you are literally camping among the disc golf course so you have make sure you are not in the direct path of a basket. We brought our kayaks and carried them down the hill to the pond one day and the next day drove over to Rochester and paddled on the lake. There is a portapotty up by the house along with a water spigot. If you are bringing a camper, you probably won’t be able to camp back in the wooded area. The lane is narrow and there are some low trees. But you should be able find a nice shaded spot up front. The property is really “in the boonies” so be prepared to drive on a gravel road (it is well maintained though). Overall it was a great weekend away. We were the only campers and we talked to a few people that we out playing disc golf. We will be returning.
Gorgeous and private
The Boonies has an incredible disc golf course! We played several holes and then camped on the back of the property on a shady ridge overlooking a lake and pastures of cows. It was extremely private and beautiful. There is an outhouse and hose available near the main house, which I don’t remember reading in the listing. Only complaint is that apparently cows are super loud lol. Recommend earplugs for that but everything else was fantastic! We will definitely be back with friends to play more disc golf!
Great time at the boonies
The Boonies is an awesome private camp area, and we were able to play a really cool disc golf course during our stay. This was a last minute decision to stay here, and will be the first place I check for availability in the future. You really can’t beat what you get for the price here.
It was a nice area and not too hard to get to. I'd recommend screenshotting where you will be camping since the trip page doesn't include that. Rick's phone number is incorrect and he never responded through the app, so I had to pitch my tent in what I assumed was a campsite? There's really no direction when getting there, so best of luck!
Hidden spot on a disk golf course
I had a great time camping, the grounds were well maintained, there was plenty of firewood to scrounge if you were willing to look and cut it up yourself. Lots of privacy and a cool pontoon boat dock on the pond
