200 feet behind our house is a fire ring, then 15 acres of wood. There's an out house too. There is plenty of wood and plenty of forest type work too. The forester has great ideas for tasks to maintain. You are welcome to have fun here doing nothing or something.

We stopped at Missie's acres of forest just as a major storm was approaching. We were able to setup camp under an ancient oak tree right before the deluge begun. Our Slumberjack Trail 4 was up to the task, but our nerves were not. Thankfully Missie and her husband, Daniel, had a room for us to escape the storm that wouldn't stop for more than 12 hours. By morning the rain had stopped and we were able to get some canoeing (a canoe is provided) and fishing in on their lake. PS Don't be confused by the photography studio sign out front. Just follow the driveway past the red barn and park at the end of the driveway by the studio. You'll be at the site once you walk past the owners cabin.
