Welcome to our primitive campground on the beautiful Blue River! We have 2 acres of riverfront property at the end of a dead end road at the Crawford/Washington County line. Nice and secluded, we have the perfect place to get away. There is river access for swimming and fishing or you can rent a canoe or kayak from us for a little paddling around. We provide picnic tables and fire rings. Firewood can be purchased from us for an additional cost. Our grounds are fairly flat with plenty of tree cover. If you enjoy hammock camping, our trees are perfect for that! Wildlife is abundant in the area; deer, otter, eagles, raccoons, and beaver are likely to be seen year round. If you are looking for activities nearby you will find Old Mill Canoe Rental in Fredericksburg (15 min drive), Marengo Cave (15 min drive), Beck's Mill (20 min drive), Buffalo Trace Park (25 min drive), as well as many other attractions in nearby Corydon, Salem, and Paoli.

The host was nice and made sure we had dry firewood, newspaper and a cooking top upon our arrival which was pretty late in the night. Waking up to the Blue River was very peaceful.

I found the Old Mill Camping spot on hipcamp not knowing it was also connected with a canoe and kayak rental group. And now I want to go back and experience that, too! The owners were super nice, very welcoming, and made our stay extremely pleasant. It was the first day overnight camping trip for my three little ones, and they had a blast, asking me on the drive home when we could do it again. The site was clean, nicely laid out, and the owners were exceptionally hospitable. We can’t wait to come back and do the canoe trip they told us about!

The host was great. They provided extra firewood at no additional cost as it had rained earlier in the day and everything was wet. The site was well maintained and the portable toilet was acceptable. The site is not far from a cattle farm so expect the occasional moo!

It was a wonderful place and during the week youll likely be lucky enough to have the whole place to yourselves! The directions were a little off and definitely needs more than one porta pot ut otherwise the hosts were amazing and the sites were perfect! The river definitely made the experience that more special!

Beautiful campsite, right off the Green River. The owners are a hard working power couple. This is a family run spot. Safe & clean.

Plenty of room to camp, and spread out. Boat Access to the River. Check out the canoe / kayak business linked with Old Mill.

This spot has it all if you’re looking for River access & hammock camping.
