Relaxing Wine Trail Getaway
Great place to tent camp! The sites were within sight of one another, but nicely spaced out and tucked in to give you a sense of privacy. I added firewood to my stay and it was all ready for me when I got there along with kindling and ice water. The site had a table and chairs and was easy to pull into, and Jon took me to the site and checked in regularly. Nicely situated between two wineries and with lots of hiking and activities 10-20 minutes away. Compost toilet worked well and was nicely set up, and Jon had a list of local activities and food nearby ready at the site via a QR code. Felt safe here as a solo camper and was a relaxing getaway. Would definitely visit again!

We have camped many times at Jon’s place and every time we come away feeling more at peace and appreciative of Southern Illinois. Cannot recommend Jon and his sites enough! He is a super helpful, kind, and attentive host. The water onsite is amazing, and the firewood is the best!

Perfect quiet getaway
Jon was so welcoming and friendly and helpful . And the property was perfect for a quiet getaway and in a great location if you like hiking and wine. Hope to be back some day!

Perfect!
We were here for the total solar eclipse and it was magical. Our host, Jon, ordered up perfect weather for us. He also made sure we were always stocked with fresh water, ice, firewood, and anything else we needed. The location is beautiful, with two wineries within walking distance, and national forest and state parks within a short drive. The hiking is great! There's even a restaurant/bar just a couple miles down the road. This was a 5-star camping experience!
