Description

Bust out the binoculars, this is bald eagle territory. Of course your best bet at catching this National, living icon is during the winter season but lucky for you Pere Marquette Campground is open year-round! Serious birdwatchers can even sign up for one of Pere Marquette’s Bald Eagle Days. Twelve miles of hiking trails will take you through forests and up bluffs for a glimpse of the Illinois and might Mississippi Rivers. A spot so beautiful no one will believe you were in Illinois–pics or it didn’t happen.
