Michael was such a great host! He greeted us warmly upon arrival, walked us through all four campsites, had a fire going already, and the next morning he showed us the barn including newly born kitties,...All campsites are beautiful and provide a lot of privacy. This was a wonderful experience, thank you!

Goat & Sheep Pasture
While driving cross-country with my wife and two little kids, we lucked out by finding hipcamp as an alternative to the roadside hotels and crammed state parks. This stop in Illinois, in a beautiful, mowed pasture on a slight rise that provides excellent sunsets was terrific. My kids were instantly having fun with running around the field and being met by a little family of friendly kittens from the barn. Michael was very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommended.

What a sweet family in a rural beautiful landscape! They had a perfectly manicured pasture, had put the dogs away in case we weren't prepared for them (so kind!), and pointed us to the nearby area where we were given space to set up camp. Even though it was raining, watching the storm roll in was breathtaking. Due to the rain, we weren't able to do much with the family such as garden or help around the farm, but it was a sweet visit with friendly hosts. The only thing we wished we'd done - walk into town for a drink at Nanas!
