Welcome! We are glad you're interested in camping at our fun little farm. Pitch a tent anywhere in the pasture, or use our four designated campsites; offering four different views of the property - including some beautiful sunsets. Cross the county road to pet sheep, llamas, goats. Play with dogs and cats, chickens... or let us know, and we'll keep them away.

We encourage participation on the "farm" - plant seeds or take a sample from our garden, pull weeds, walk to town and get a beer at "Buddies," "Nanas" - a local joint to play pool, or local favorite - "Busy Corner." The pasture is a short walk to the main house - feel free to be social and engage with our family, or maintain privacy. Our kids will likely want to meet you... Sarah and me, too!

Our farmette is located in central Illinois... surrounded by working corn and soybean farmers. Some organic, some not. We aren't too far from the main highway - so, travel here is a breeze. Thanks for visiting us!

What a sweet family in a rural beautiful landscape! They had a perfectly manicured pasture, had put the dogs away in case we weren't prepared for them (so kind!), and pointed us to the nearby area where we were given space to set up camp. Even though it was raining, watching the storm roll in was breathtaking. Due to the rain, we weren't able to do much with the family such as garden or help around the farm, but it was a sweet visit with friendly hosts. The only thing we wished we'd done - walk into town for a drink at Nanas!

While driving cross-country with my wife and two little kids, we lucked out by finding hipcamp as an alternative to the roadside hotels and crammed state parks. This stop in Illinois, in a beautiful, mowed pasture on a slight rise that provides excellent sunsets was terrific. My kids were instantly having fun with running around the field and being met by a little family of friendly kittens from the barn. Michael was very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommended.

Great, Greg! Thanks for the nice words. Great to have you. Hope the cats didn't annoy. We have 6 new little ones that are a ton of fun. I'm glad your kids enjoyed the welcoming party. Come back any time!

Michael was such a great host! He greeted us warmly upon arrival, walked us through all four campsites, had a fire going already, and the next morning he showed us the barn including newly born kitties,...All campsites are beautiful and provide a lot of privacy. This was a wonderful experience, thank you!

Yeah, Sarka! Thanks for this. Great to have you and Greg stay with us. Folks - these two were troopers. It rained most of the night and they toughed it out. Sarka - I trust the race went well for you both. Feel free to stop by any time. Our crew
