The camp is situated along the Kishwaukee River on a sizeable piece of land that is adjacent to a state wildlife preserve. Camp host Nathan will rent you his SUV to make the short, but rugged drive from his home at the top of the property. You'll need it if you've got a little car like we do. Once at the site you'll have a place to setup your tent along the river, a few chairs, a fire pit and easy access for paddling or fishing. Nathan does provide all the dry firewood you'll ever need. It made for a perfect fire after a typically-rainy Midwestern spring night.

A great place to hike. The landowner suggest going for the smallies. You'll have access to a fire pit, picnic table and the river.Along the river

Amazing place to unplug! We made the trip from Chicago and I was amazed at how secluded you feel while on this property. Nathan was great, and super responsive to all of our questions. I can't wait to go back and spend some more time here!

One of the nicest and most relaxing weeeknds! Nathan is an incredible host, and keeps his property meticulously maintained. We saw two bald washers soarding past our camp site when we arrived. Couldn’t ask for a cooler start to a weekend. We are avid fisherman and even squeaked out a few larger catfish during our visit. The sites are private and everything we could have asked for. Thank you Nathan for sharing your little piece of heaven with our group. We will be back!

Nathan was great - he met us upon our arrival; escorted us down to our camp site and gave us a quick lay of the land and then turned us loose. The camp site itself far exceeded our expectations and we could not have had a better time. We will be back and are already looking forward to it. Highly recommend!

Great location for site 1. Easy access to river, muddy at first but then sand/ gravel, bring aqua socks. local stores very close. Only negative was no pre cut seasoned firewood, only fallen trees brush etc. Will definitely be back.

15/10!!!! This site was beyond our expectations!! It was secluded, gorgeous and right on the water. We saw a lot of wildlife, even a bald eagle fly 20 yards in front of us. The entire weekend was magic. Nathan, our host, was beyond polite and accommodating. We ran into some car troubles and his wife went above and beyond to help. Incredible people, incredible property. We WILL be back!!! If you want a relaxing weekend away in the forst with your partner or even a group of friends THIS IS WHERE YOU HAVE TO GO! Hands down would recommend!!!!!!

View up the river, right where the bald eagle flew. One of the property dogs Rookie. She came down for a brief visit, gave hugs, and was off again! No better place to relax with a cup of coffee! Stunning view right on the shore of our site.
