The vibe at Amy's Backyard
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We came down for the eclipse, when Amy and Philip were just beginning to experiment with the idea of hosting campers, and it was amazing. She had stockpiled plenty of food and beverages, and she'd thought the logistics out very well. The place itself has sites ranging from a backyard feel to deep-woods camping, while she and Philip are simply delightful hosts. We'll definitely stay there again if we get into the area.
Amy's backyard exceeded my expectations -- it was a huge space with nice, varied areas for camping (woods, trees, lawn). Amy's a wonderful host, we could use the bathroom and shower in the house, she made us coffee in the morning. Highly recommended.
We had a great time at Amy's! She was a great and accommodating host. The location was perfect to watch a starry sky and the campsite was spacious. This was perfect for car camping since they had a path to drive up to your campsite and unload your belongings. All in all, a great time!
Amy was an amazing host. She really went the extra mile to make sure all of her guests had a great time camping and enjoying the 2017 eclipse. My warmest thanks to out to her and Phillips for their hospitality and for making our experience a great one. She has a great property and is using it well. I highly recommend Amy's backyard!
Amy is an excellent host, and the campsite was a great place for a varied group of strangers to watch the 2017 solar eclipse. She was kind of enough to treat us like guests, providing a huge bonfire, plenty of different places to camp, access to running water, bathrooms (house plumbing and composting outhouse.) They also provided hot dogs, water, soda and eclipse glasses for sale. Thank you!
