The 1912 Barn is a 110 historic post and beam barn that makes a wonderful backdrop for a night out in the country. Located only 25 minutes from Springfield historic sites and 10 minutes from Decatur, IL this location makes it easy to tour during the day and relax by the camp fire in the evening. Decatur has a mini golf course, splash cove water park, children's zoo and museum, a governor's mansion for tours and 3 museums to visit. Milikin University offers local college level sports. Decatur has a great lake for paddle boarding, boating and fishing with canoe trips down the local Sangamon River. Several local breweries and cute market areas makes Decatur a great place to visit. Take a ride on the trolley and learn out our history. Springfield sites are only a hop and skip away with many things to see and learn. Museums offer great programs and the New Salem Park is a fun day trip with the kids to learn about historic living. Lincoln's sites around in several counties are great to see

1912 Barn RV Restful Spots
My night at the barn was just perfect! Lots of options depending on what you are looking for and tons of room so you don’t feel crowded. The bathroom was amazing and the hosts were so friendly that I felt like I was visiting friends!

1912 Barn - Loft Bedroom
Perfect night before the eclipse!
Beautiful property! We stayed in the barn for the evening which included access to a refrigerator, lots of outlets, 1 bed, 2 couches, a hammock, a small kitchenette, board games, lots of seating, extra utensils, dish soap, and bins to wash items! You have access to community fire pits, a grill, and private bathroom with amenities to shower! Lots of fire wood and great seating by the fire pits! Other guests are on the property with enough room for everyone to enjoy privately as well as with other guests if interested! Beautiful ambiance with lots of unique features and amenities to explore! There is definitely wildlife around to see and hear! Pet friendly with leashes. Snacks and drinks were provided by the hosts both in the barn and in a small room outside of the restroom! Coffee, hot water and cinnamon rolls were provided in the small outer room in the morning too! Excellent host with great communication! Can’t wait to visit again!

Meadow Camping Lot
Our stay at 1912 was beyond wonderful! My husband and I camped here on our way to the solar eclipse from Wisconsin. Aissa and Hank were incredibly friendly and hospitable and even had coffee and cinnamon rolls waiting for us when we woke up. The property is well maintained and off the beat and path. 10/10 would recommend!

1912 Barn RV Restful Spots
Great camping spot!
Beautiful, well kept property! We only met Hank, he was very nice. We stayed in our 5th wheel for the weekend while attending a wrestling tournament. We were very busy so didn’t get to enjoy the nice fire pits or property. But if you need a place to park while on the road or want a nice quiet spot to hang out it check it out. Our 5th wheel is 36ft. And had no problems. Only thing I would recommend having an extension cord.
