If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
this is such a diamond in the ruff! the host, Aissa, was very friendly, and the barn was beautiful. you can easily camp outside, or in our case, throw your crash pads in the barn and sleep on the floor. we'll definitely be back for a longer stay!
I had such a lovely stay here. I enjoyed spending the night in the loft, it was so cozy. Your barn is absolutely beautiful and those eggs were delicious. I definitely wish I had more time here!
Social distancing barn adventures!
The Vintage Barn Experience exceeded our expectations! Aissa and Hank have done a great job turning this unique barn into an awesome space to hang out in. We had 5 of us comfortably on the property, and could see having 5 more just fine. Two slept in hammocks, one in a tent, and two in the barn, and all of our experiences were great.
Be aware, if you are not fond of chickens hanging out with you too, maybe avoid this. For us, it definitely enhanced our experience, and set the stage for our adventure very well.
The bathroom was great, and just a short walk through the driveway.
A country paradise only minutes from the interstate! About 6 hours out, I found this place on Hipcamp. We set course for this location and arrived at 8:30PM; just enough daylight to get a good look at the property.
My son (3 yrs old) and I were quickly greeted upon arrival as if we were visiting with old friends. We had planned to camp behind the barn under the trees but the hosts talked us into staying in the barn.
Even in a warm evening the barn stayed cool with a large fan blowing on us. After I put my son to bed, I spent some time taking some evening photos of the property.
This has to be the most unique place I've ever slept. We had spent the previous 2 weeks traveling from VA to AZ and back. Even though we had some pretty epic campsites during our travels, this place will certainly be the most memorable.
Watch video coverage of our stay here in July 2018 at http://www.mountainstateoverland.com - cheers and thanks for having us!

Couldn’t have asked for a better campsite. We came in late and Hank has sent pictures of directions, had the fire going when we arrived, and left the farm fresh eggs out on the table for us. The site had electricity, bathroom, and the barn. When we got too cold from the wind, we went inside the barn and had our meals. Would totally recommend staying here.
Our first hipcamp experienice!
It was magical! My boys and I stayed in the barn and slept on the couches and bed provided. The hosts were gracious and kind. The barn was so charming and the entire area was just beautiful. There was plenty of room for tents, a giant fire pit, horse shoes, checkers, and books on hand to keep you busy.
The bathroom area was convenient and perfect! I can’t give this place a high enough rating.
