Enjoy camping in a rural location not far from the small town of Hayden (sister to Coeur d'Alene). We have a wooded hillside with many tamaracks, and an open grassy pasture. We are 8 minutes from Silverwood theme park, if that is your thing. The Coeur d'Alene National Forest is about 4 miles down the road, and OHVs and such can drive from here to there legally.

We were Andy's first guests! Andy was accommodating and helpful. The place was close to town. He was still working on the site when we stayed there a week or two before the eclipse so I'd bet it's improved recently. It sounded like he had big plans for the site. The stars were very visible at night and the spot was nice and secluded. The dirt road to the site was very narrow, but Andy helped guide us through the tightest part in our huge 2017 Ford 150 4x4 double cab pick-up truck. I liked that this place was about people helping people. We set up our tent in a dirt patch in the pasture that Andy had recently made with his tractor. The rest of the pasture was a little lumpy still. It didn't rain during our stay, but if it had, we probably would have taken Andy up on his offer to let us stay in the dirt-floor barn just before the pasture. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a cheap, private, convenient, and welcoming place to camp.
