Idyllic mountaintop retreat
Can’t believe Julie is sharing her little piece of heaven! Soft tent site, amazing views, scrupulously clean outhouse (best I’ve ever experienced!) So much love and attention went In to this complete experience. An incredible getaway. We will be back.
Julie is really sweet and definitely pays attention to detail! She had firewood packaged in a cute way and got us a grate to put over the fire pit for cooking. Also, she had seriously the nicest outhouse I have ever used in my whole life. I don’t even think it can be called an outhouse because of how nice it was. The tent site was nice, too. There were other sites that were more secluded in some ways... more trees... but closer to other spots and less of a view. So we chose one up on the hill. I would still choose that again but it was odd to look out of our tent and see their front door. Still nice for a fast, rather unplanned night away.
Panoramic mountaintop farm stay
This is a very cool site perched atop a mountain with panoramic views of the area. I was driving in from Bozeman on the way to Portland and needed a place to stop and camp last minute. Julie responded quickly and was very accommodating.
The site itself is on a 20 acre piece of land and there are three camping area options as well as a tiny home (which looks rad!). Julie left instructions in the barn where I got to say hi to Big Bill, the rooster and there was a coffee spread + snacks in the morning. The pit toilet/outhouse is nicer than most public restrooms, so don’t let that deter you. The hosts keep it impeccably clean and smelling fresh. There is also an antique wash basin mounted to the outside w/ mirror. Very cool.
There are hiking trails on the property, but I had to keep moving, so didn’t get to fully explore. I do hope to be back though w/ the fam and take some more time to enjoy the location.
Overall I had a great stay and would highly recommend!!
Peaceful mountaintop camp.
Great little spot on A farm. Julie and Bob were really nice. There were three camp sites, Julie put me on the site in the back on top of the hill where there was a nice view. I was able to have a little fire and watched a lighting storm way off in the distance before crawling in my tent to sleep. It was really peaceful and I slept very well. I didn’t stay long because I had a lot of mileage to cover for the next part of my road trip, but there are done trails and a lot of other things to do if you’re camping out longer.
Julie’s property is very nice and she could not be a more welcoming and accommodating host. Her location near the top of the mountain is quiet and offers some nice views. Thanks for a great night.
