Tier Three: Primitive Creek Side
(UPDATE 7/24/20 NO SAME DAY RESERVATIONS AFTER 5PM & NOT AN RV SITE) Cool year round. You will be able to drive, time of year pending, to a one car on-site spot that starts your creek side experience. A short walk down the flow of the creek, and you are at your primitive spot. There is a hammock and stone fire ring with fire pit approximately 3 feet in diameter.

You will be 10 feet from the creek with trails that follow up and down the creek for about .5 miles each direction. If you choose a quick hike on site, just walk up the flow of the creek and turn up the mountain for a nice 45 degree walk along the face of a giant rock formation with tiny cut outs for appropriate kids to play hide and seek in safety. Not so into getting winded? Then just take a stroll along flat to rugged logging trails that encircle the 10 acre access that is all yours for the duration. Great walk for the dogs (please just know your own dog). This circle is great for mountain biking without ever leaving the kids or worrying about running into another cyclist with your dog.
When the day is done and evening is setting in, you may want to walk up the road to view the sunset or just stay warm by the fire. This elevation is 10 degrees cooler than at my house, which is nearly 20 acres away from you so practice guitar all you like but always be respectful of volume at all levels and times of day or night. Otherwise, enjoy be surrounded only by forestry land and no other campers or neighbors (or even hosts) in sight!

This campsite was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend staying here. It's peaceful and isolated, and Charles provided a fire ring, a trash can, and plenty of firewood. I hung my hammock next to the creek and fell asleep to the sound of running water. The host also showed me some beautiful hikes, and when I followed the trails I was the only one there. Overall, the campsite was a great place to relax.

Great host, beautiful area without crowds of public campgrounds. Very private. Highly recommend.
Absolutely awesome place to get away for the weekend. Site is right next to the creek, cool and shaded all day. Hiking along the creek in both directions plus the property backs up to forest land to hike as well. I highly recommend a stay here.

This was my second stay here, that alone should tell you how I feel about the place. Great host, friendly neighbors, and an amazing place to get away for the weekend. The camp is next to the creek so it stays cool and is quiet and peaceful. I definitely recommend a stay here.

Charles was a really gracious host; the campsite is quiet and private. Short hikes around the property that were just right for our young kids; great spot to set up the hammock and watch the light filter through the leaves & dance off the water while the kids played with sticks, rocks, and creek water. Great value for the price!
Charles met us off-site to guide us personally into the campsite. We wanted to hike into the site instead of driving, so he also hiked with us and made sure we had a full tour of the site and an introduction to the surrounding land. This is a great out-of-the-way camping experience and one that we enjoyed with our two boys.
Charles was a fantastic host and the campground was spectacular!
He showed around the site as well as the trails (which were great little hikes) when we got there and made sure we had everything we needed before he left.
The site itself was more than I expected - it was extremely private, well setup, and very peaceful sleeping next to the creek.
We'll definitely be back here in the future!
Absolute privacy, so quiet. The creek running near our tent, great shade from the sun and easy access to some trails. Firewood aplenty, this was our favorite camping spot. We almost don’t want to gush too much in fear of this spot getting booked up!
The access road is steep and narrow, glad we had our AWD compact suv or we would’ve been packing in/out. Fire pit was great, benches wide enough to sit comfortably and balance your dinner plate. Charles also brought a little table for the kiddos which was super helpful.
The only noise we heard during our stay were some coyotes yelping far off in the distance. Exactly the kind of solitude we were seeking. No cell service allowed for a complete unplug and recharge and i can’t wait to come back.
This site exceeded our expectations. We’re conflicted about recommending it, because we want to keep it “our little secret”, but it’s so spectacular we decided to share our experience and recommend it to all our friends and family.
Completely seclusion and pristine environment make this an ideal spot to enjoy some real one on one with Mother Nature.
Charles was more than helpful and was a great host. Checking in without being overbearing, we felt at home and comfortable in his back yard. He met us right as we were pulling up and led us to our designated camp spot. Once there, we were shown around and givin the layout and from there on out, it was just us for as far as we could see.
We will definitely be going back and we hope to make this one of our annual destinations from here on out.
