Our camping experience was beyond what I had hoped for! We were looking for a time to get back to basics away from technology, people and the busyness that consumes or time. We wanted just nature and that is exactly what we got! We can’t wait to go back. Host Tad and his wife were very nice. And we truly appreciate them sharing their piece of Heaven with us.

Beautiful creek with abundant wildflowers and the occasional chipmunk. The kids had a blast running back and forth over the bridges exploring. The fire pit is enormous which was great for the adults , make sure you bring enough firewood. Just up the road was fabulous huckleberry picking as well. Extra hoses and extension cords are needed if you want running water and power, we were too far away due to the large rig in front of the power pole to use either.

It was so private and quiet. Love the stream that runs by.

Upon arrival we found that the site we thought we had booked with the large fire pit was already taken by another group. While we still managed to enjoy our stay and take advantage of the ATV trails, hiking trails, and other wonderful things, we were still a little disheartened that we weren't able to camp at the site that we thought we were booking. There are 3 different camp sites. There is one site with a large metal fire pit. There is one power hookup. The ad is a little misleading and any confusion would be remedied by 3 separate listings, assigned sites, and with a rough map of the property. Otherwise everyone is under the impression they are booking what they see in the photos. The other campers were nice and friendly. The location was great. The bathroom facilities met our needs. Loved it otherwise.

Burke Outpost is 1 site. Tent side of Burke outpost is another. There are a number of fire rings for campside fires and 1 large metal fire pit to share. There is a power service with 3 outlets. There is city water and an outhouse.

Beautiful location and fun site close to town. There were some other groups there and nobody was told where they need to go so maybe tell people which space they rented so it’s clear who rented what. First people there end up with a way better site than others. Awesome spot just crowded and unclear how and where everyone was supposed to stay. When you book know that others are able to stay there so not entirely private for your group.

This is such an awesome spot but definitely did not meet our expectations and like others have recently said, not quite what is advertised. Ad says to meet at Historic Jameson. 1. That is in Wallace 2. Nobody is there. So after waiting a while and then calling Tad he informed us that the site the directions took us to was in fact the site. He did not take us out there.

So why did we drive back in to Wallace and call after locating the site? Because upon arrival there were 2 other families already set up. Spots aren’t designated. We thought we had paid for the one that was with power. After speaking with Tad he did confirm that you had to get there first to get that one.

We ended up at spot “three”. Spot three is across a bridge that we were NOT comfortable driving over so we had to haul all of our gear over the bridge and set up. Definitely only a spot for tent camping!

All in all, if you can get there FIRST it is awesome. Quiet and no service! A little pricey for what is advertised! We felt mislead but now knowing what it is, we would go again with a different mindset and try to be first.

Side note- there really isn’t room for more than 3 but Tad did say something about “we have fit 5-6 comfortably” so just be aware before purchasing that he may let some cram in there.

Burke Outpost is 1 site. No need to share with anyone. The property is a couple acres. We have had 6 RVs and 8 tents set up. We were all friends and family so, getting along was no problem.

There were 3 RVS and no place for us to park. Hoping to receive a refund

Very sorry about the confusion. We will try to figure out how to put signs up that anyone can figure out without ruining the natural setting.
