Description

The small but beautiful Summit Lake offers a secluded and un-crowded camping retreat. Resting in a scenic pine forest, each of the three sites sit among wildflowers in the summer and plenty of opportunities for nearby hiking and wildlife spotting. For those who want a little more water recreation and beach lounging, you can head to Warm Lake, which is a short drive away. Camping here is simple, but, it does involve some prep beforehand. You’ll need to bring your own firewood, toilet paper, and drinking water and pack out your garbage. And, bring extra bug spray. Summit Lake is said to be very popular for mosquitos.
