The site was GREAT! Initially I was worried that we would be close to the road and that it would be noisy. But when we got there I was surprised as to how far back the property went. There is a freight train that passes by occasionally. Some people might find it distracting but it was the highlight for my 3 and 5 year olds.
I would recommend that you bring your own shade. There are no trees there to provide it for you.

Awesome ranch site along a river with cattle and mountains in the distance. We tent-camped amongst the trees on the river and made a little fire with the fire pit they provided. Bobi was very nice and communicative about the entrance and site details, and offered to help if necessary. The location was quite private and beautiful, albeit with some occasional traffic and train noise. Didn't really affect our experience, however. Definitely recommend!

Great spot! Right by the river. Train goes by at night a few times, but we loved it. The entrance is a bit hard to find, but call the host- she was great!
Site was very sparse and private for sure. It's just a field. No camping sections. Just park anywhere in a field and make it your own but the grass is very tall and ground bumpy. The river wasn't that nice and the mosquitoes were over whelming. We tried to stay and make it work but in a field of grass and weeds next to stagnant water. The bugs will drive you away. But if all this is what you want this is the place for you.
This was a bit different than the pictures make it out to be. It is by a beautiful river. There are no real trees to speak of, which we knew going in. What we didn't realize until after we booked was that this campsite was in a narrow cow pasture situated between a busy rail line and a busy highway. There was no privacy at all and it was very noisy. The pictures make it look grassy like a nice meadow. In reality it was chock FULL of cockle burrs, noxious weeds, and cow manure. No great place to run and play. There were also millions of grasshoppers and a few mosquitos. However, having left booking a campsite in proximity to Bear Lake until the last minute, this was a workable solution. The hosts were flexible with us on check in time, which was nice. Also a note about Bear Lake, the beaches fill up fast on a Saturday and the State Park closes them! So plan on being there early or you may not be able to go at all!
Literally a field just off the highway so trucks are very loud, bring ear plugs and you’re all set!

Thanks for your review Martel! The river is running (not stagnant) but it’s true that it draws mosquitoes for sure! The county mosquito abatement team tries to stay on top of controlling bugs but it is a constant battle.
