Perfect place for the outdoors!
This place was so fun for our family! And so we’ll taken care of. Sharon was a great host. We stayed in a cottage which was SO NICE and very clean. The beds were comfortable and it had just enough amenities to be comfortable while also being able to take advantage of the outdoors. The borrow barn was so fun for the kids... it kept them entertained the 4 days we were there. The paddle boats were awesome. And my kids fell in love with the bunnies. We were also able to go on the Dry Creek trail that was 5 minutes away and was incredibly beautiful. We enjoyed the Heise Hot Springs 3 minutes away. And did mini golf 3 minutes away. We spent a day in Yellowstone which was only an hour and a half drive to get there. We will be doing this trip again!
I ended up not staying in the tents as they were booked. But, the entire property was well maintained and very welcoming. Sharon provided great directions and everything was as described. I would highly recommend staying at this property whether it’s tents, cabins, or RVs.
Great place to stay. It was not as private as I expected from the pictures and the bathrooms are shared with many others; but the tent was great, the bed comfy, the bathrooms clean, and the amenities were really nice. My daughter's especially liked the pedal boats.
Sharon was an AMAZING and kind host and when the Glam- tent was not available she gave us an upgrade to a cabin. The cabin was beautiful and the beds were comfortable, and a basket of yoga mats! There are a lot of amenities around the site Including goats and bunnies, a petting zoo for kids, pedal-boats and a shed full of bicycles, games and books! But, the site was totally OVERBOOKED and it was crawling with people. When we tried to use the kitchen area, others said that it was rented out by them. They were four toilets and two showers for probably 200 people. Before we left we had a list of cleaning that we were expected to do- including wiping down microwave, fridge, sweeping, wet mopping the floor, taking out the trash and stripping our own sheets off the beds. We were there for two days and I did not see the bathrooms cleaned once. During the time of Covid, it was surprising and unnerving to wake up to see 8 tents in the grass 15 feet outside our cabin. We did not feel safe enough to take a shower that day as we did not see any cleaning people around and the same mess in the bathroom was in there for 2 days, so we left with no shower as soon as we woke up (after cleaning our own cabin, of course) . Oh, and the ONE (pizza) place to go out to eat made all 3 of us sick!
We never did meet our host Sharon or really anyone acting as host or manager. When we arrived, we didn't know where to go and there was no office and were frustrated and kind of disapointed that we apparently booked an RV Park. We wandered around and finally asked a carpenter fixing something what to do. He made a call and we finally found out that the Glamping Tent was overbooked and that we had been upgraded to a cottage. I believe she actually sent me an email about it so I wouldn't be surprised but I didn't read it thuroughly. Sharon was super nice on the phone. I have read elsewhere that others have had this happen to them as well. Truthfully we weren't that dissapointed in not getting the glamping tent since we'd been roughing it the previous 4 days elsewhere and the exterior of tents didn't look super inviting (right next to the RV park and set in scrubby weeds). Anyway the cottage we were assigned to hadn't been turned over yet so we were assigned to another cottage which appeared to be brand new. Clean. Nice beds, smelled nice and had an airconditioner. No bathroom but there was a bathhouse 50ft away which was also clean and tidy. The cottage 10ft away from us was being worked on and it was annoying to have to put up with saws and air compressors n such when we were trying to relax. Lots of gravel and chain link but there was also manicured grounds adjacent and you could tell they were making an effort to make it nice. I think my expectations were way out of line for the $68 a night. I was thinking the glamping would be in some quiet tranquil beautiful place with maybe some cookies waiting for us and deer that would come visit us at 8:15 LOL, but you get what you pay for. I don't feel like I was ripped off and it was more adventurous than a motel. Sorry if this review sent mixed messages. I just wanted to tell the good and the not-so-good.
Enjoyed our stay in the glamping tent! Bed was very comfortable and location was fun. Can be a bit hard to find since there are a number of cabin/RV parks in the area so arrive in the day.
