Aloha Campers, We would be happy to host your stay on our 3 acre Ohia Forest, permaculture orchard & homestead. The living space we offer is a 20'x10' raised cabin, with two covered Lani, both 5'x10'. The indoor hale is 10'x10' furnished with two full-sized bunk beds, a small desk & love seat, shelving for personal storage, lights and electricity for basic needs. There is also a working mini fridge for personal perishables. About 10 yards from your private accommodations is our main living space which has a shower (both indoor and out with hot water) & kitchen space. Please consider the main level the commons between 8am and 9pm while staying with us. We only ask you to be considerate of water & energy use as we are 100% off grid, but what we have is yours to use :)

The land we work on has over 450 different varieties of plants we tend year-round. Many beautiful and rare ornamentals from fruits to flowers which we are happy to walk through and point out plants of unique qualities if interested. Depending on the time of year there is always something in blossom from terrestrial orchids that can reach over 6 feet in the early spring, to dazzling passion flowers in the summer & fall followed by their prized fruits in the winter which guests are welcome to enjoy! Dozens of different Virayas & Rhododendrons usually out year round for enjoyment. We do have animals preset on our Homestead; a dozen chickens (only 1 rooster), two very friendly farm dogs, 3 cats & 2 parrots, and goats (usually out of sight on the far end trail). We often are working everyday with the land so please don't mind the odd mess of shovels and dirt.

Our property is about 1 mile off of a main paved road with good access. Centered about 30min. to an hour from Volcano National Parks and Bird sanctuary up mountain to the west on hwy 11, Old Pahoa Village/Kalapana, Kahena Black sands Beach to the South, and urban Hilo town to the north on your way to Hamakua coat and tropical gardens. We can point out many of these sights on a map if asked.

Mahalo Nui for your consideration to stay with us :)
