Cinderland is a clothing-optional sustainable off-grid permaculture eco-village located near Pahoa, Lava Tree State Monument, and MacKenzie State Recreation Area. We are also a marijuana-friendly community.

There are several different ways to camp on our property. Tent camping is available on the property under the cover of our industrial-grade tarps next to where work trade members of the community camp or tucked away at the back of the property among the pine trees for a more private experience if that is what you would like. Because we have a work trade program, there are also dormitory-style beds available at no additional cost. Please reach out in advance if you would prefer this option and we’ll make arrangements for you.

We offer a range of permaculture courses that are taught to members of our community and we encourage you to participate at no extra charge! Please message us if you have any questions about staying at Cinderland prior to booking and we’ll gladly answer your questions.

Feel free to visit our website to learn more: cinderland dot org. We look forward to having you join our community of eco-conscious campers!

Nestled in a stunning tropical forest along the Puna coastline you’ll find paradise at Cinderland. Jezus has created a thriving community of residents who live in peace and harmony with the land. Yes, this is a hippie commune. Here you’ll find everything that can be found in a hippie commune. If you’re looking for Puna, this is Puna.

Hike to the newly created black sand beach. Share a community meal. Lend a hand in the garden. Dance naked. Make a friend. This is a rare opportunity.

Spend a night and you may stay a week, a month, or a lifetime. Cinderland is not for everyone, but it just might be perfect for you.

Sometime it feels like traveling on Mars.Rainbow Country! Pristine black sand beach, created by lava one year ago. Sunrise from the top of a lighthouse.
